27. Halloween

It's late October when Katsuki came home one night after work to tell his Medic boyfriend that there would be a haunted house set up at the firehouse for the neighborhood kids asking him if he wanted to help work it with him and the rest of their friends, something Izuku immediately agreed to.

The day is now upon them, Katsuki and the rest of his firefighting crew are busy putting up decorations at the firehouse while the greenett is still at work.

" I still can't believe you got Midoriya to agree to come here tonight", Shoto says as he hangs an array of fake cobwebs.

Katsuki shifts his gaze from the skeleton he's setting up to the bicolored eyed male a few feet away.

He furrows blonde brows.

" What the fuck you mean Icyhot? I'll be here, he always wants to be where I am and vice versa"

Shoto chuckles.

" Yeah yeah, I'm aware, you two are attached at the hip, or pelvis, or faces most of the time but what I mean is Midoriya has always been skittish of Halloween."

Kirishima looks down from a ladder he's standing on while he's stringing up plastic bats from pull strings.

" You mean he's scared of it bro?", the redhead ask.

Shoto smiles slightly.

" Like I said, skittish. Ever since we were kids he got frightened easy."

Katsuki raises a brow.

" Well I mean I know he doesn't like horror movies and shit, but he doesn't mind them when I'm next to him on the couch", the blonde says continuing his task.

Sero laughs from nearby as he hangs black and purple string lights.

" You mean you don't mind because he probably climbs right into your lap", the male teases his friend seeing Katsuki smirk.

" Fuck off bastard, we don't need to be watching scary movies for him to do that, but I definitely don't mind that part, and Oi I'll be here tonight, he knows I won't let anything scare him"

Kirishima looks over at the blonde with two raised brows.

" But you live for this holiday Bakubro, you scare the shit out of everyone that walks through here."

Denki laughs from spot he's in writing Beware signs.

" Totally. I'm convinced you get off on it, you're terrible man"

A sadist grin takes over the blonde.

" It's Halloween you shits, you're supposed to be fucking scared, that's what makes it fun. But you fucks aren't allowed to freak him out tonight, God knows he's seen enough real life scary shit between his job and the horror he lived with that fuck. I got my Medic"

Shoto let's a slight grin come to his face.

" Yeah, and dating you is scary enough so we definitely wouldn't want to cause him anymore trauma than that"

The blonde narrows his eyes at his coworker.

" Bastard. We both know I'm the best thing that ever happened to him", he smirks finally.

Denki laughs at the banter as he ask the blonde a question.

" Is Mido dressing up?"

" I think so, he told me he had something he was going to throw together. Told me it would go with what I was wearing so I guess we'll find out when he gets here"
