Saru had been ordered to investigate upon a strain that had been residing at the outskirts of Shizume City. Since he always preferred to work alone to avoid people being a burden to him.
Saru took slow, deliberate steps carefully into the abandoned building. A hand was on the hilt of his saber, his awareness was sharp, as that of a great lion's. A dart was suddenly shot to his arm, it was a sleeping dart.
Saru muttered a curse under his breath as he fell to his knees. The drug was taking affect too quickly, falling unconscious onto the floor.
The female strain smirked, sitting beside the unconscious SCEPTER 4 Officer before she started to ''consume' his memories, that was her ability, so as to prevent him from taking further actions and giving information about her.
The Strain picked up the Third-In-Command and transported to the house he had frequent to, according to his memories. She stopped infront of the Vanguard's apartment. Knocking on the door before she vanished out of sight.
Misaki went up to the door, opening the door before her eyes widened at the sight of an unconscious Saru. "S-Saru..!" Even if they were ex-best friends, deep down, she still cared for the Black-haired officer.
Misaki ran to his side, shaking him by the shoulders, trying to awaken him, but to no avail. She immediately dragged him into the house, lying him on the sofa. She ran off to get a glass of water.
"S-Saruu... Wake up..." No answer. The silence continued on, Misaki sat on the floor next to the sofa Saru was lying on. She waited for him to awaken.
Suddenly, Saru opens his eyes. "....?" Misaki sits up quickly. "S-Saru.. Are you alright?" She asked worriedly while Saru looked at him cluelessly.
"Who are you..?" Saru asked, dumbfounded.
"S-Stop joking around, Saru..!" Exclaimed
Misaki in a nervous tone of voice.
"I-i'm not around.. I really do not know who you are."
She quickly stood up, grabbing Saru's hand and drags him out of the house. She started running, dragging a stumbling Saru after her, to the place she never would have thought she would go to by her own will. SCEPTER 4 Headquarters, the place swarming with the people she hated, the Blues.
