After the hectic weekend she had she knew it was time to face the sad boring reality of high school.

Or what she called it hell.

As a child she enjoyed school but when it came time where the coloring sheets were replaced with finals that same love quickly was replaced with dread and resent for each asshole teacher that couldn't actually give too shits about their job, I mean seriously if you hate children why work with them? That she'll never understand.

She inhaled sharply starring back at herself in the reflection of the mirror. With half the day almost over she was entirely drained, She splashed cold water on her face trying to revive herself before reaching over scrambling to look for a paper towel while trying to stop the water from going into her eyes.

"can you pass me a napkin" she asked outloud to know certain person.

She waited awhile she hoped she wasn't alone in the bathroom talking to herself. "...hellooo?"

Someone cleared there throat from behind her. "right sorry" they could be heard rushing to the napkin dispenser ripping napkins out before pushing it into her hand.

"thank you." she mumbled wiping her face of the water drops. She fluttered her eyes open looking herself in the mirror before glancing over to the mystery girl beside her only it wasn't a mystery girl but someone she knew very well of.

"Rue?" She said in more of a questioning tone.  she was surprised to see her at school since from what she heard she'd been M.I.a . The tall girl stood there in a awkward manner bouncing back and forth on her heels and scratching the inside of her arm nervously. "hey grey."

Rue didn't wait for a response. "did you get my gift?" She asked.

Greyson looked at her rolling her eyes in disbelief that; that was the first thing she asked after practically ghosting her for a month and then calling her to just say how a horrible friend she is. "good bye rue" she scoffed slightly.

She could hear shuffling behind her. "grey! wait! wait I'm sorry!"

She spun around, "your sorry? Sorry! Sorry doesn't cut it rue. You think dropping off a gift is gonna change the things you said?"at that point she had noticed it was the only two of them in the bathroom.

"no of course not but at least give me a chance to explain greyson"

Rue sighed. "please...just. please." She looked at the desperate girl with her arms crossed then looked at the clock above her seeing it was 30 seconds till the bell rung for lunch. "30 seconds rue."

She nodded with a small smile. "I'm going through a lot right now—" grey rolled her eyes. "I am! And I know that's not an excuse but I'm sorry, okay Greyson I am so sorry, you are one of the closest and longest friend I've ever had and I lov-"

"30 seconds are up."

She turned to open the bathroom door but Rue grabbed her wrist making her look back. "i am sorry grey even if you don't believe me."

She looked at her eyes that were slightly widened before walking out silently. She caught Jules and Elliot's eyes who were waiting for her like normal against the lockers.

"what was that all about?" Jules questioned starring intensely behind her. She looked back to see Rue rushing out of the bathroom. "nothing just same old Rue." She shrugged and then Elliot and Jules both looked at each other. the look both of them gave each other was a familiar look, it was the look that you give your friend when you both know something that your other friend doesn't know.

"ok what is going on with you two" she asked following not too far behind them both.

"what? nothing." Jules spit out.
