Bound by Fate (Sesshomaru Love Story)

Chapter 12

Sakura's P. O. V:

"Naraku, you say?" I murmur. "Then I take it you're one of his minions."

"I work for Naraku," She affirms.

"Why does he want to see me?" I ask with curiosity.

"Naraku simply wants to chat with you, priestess," She says. "Now, come quietly and you will suffer less."

"No way!" I say as I unsheathe both katanas. I run at Kagura and go to bring my swords down on her.

"Dance of Blades!" She calls and swings her fan. Curved blades of wind are shot at me. I dive out of the way and they hit the ground. "You're fast. Let's see you dodge this! Dance of the Dragon!" She swings her fan again and sends out a huge dragon made of wind.

It lunges for me. Karina grabs me and leaps away, avoiding it.

The wind Dragon slams into the ground. I get off of Karina.

"Let's see you cut through this then! Wind Gust!" Kagura sends out a wall of wind. I charge for the attack but get blown by back the force. Kagura laughs as she approaches me.

Karina runs over to me and I get back on her as she charges for Kagura and I hold up my swords, ready to plunge them into her. "Now it's over! You won't be taking me to Naraku! Benizakura Flash!"

I bring down my swords but Kagura sweeps her fan across in a wide arc. "Dance of Blades!" A blade of wind is expelled and used to block my swords. Karina lands on the ground before the Wind Sorceress. I jump off of her.

"That won't save you!" I slash with Benizakura Flash again but Kagura swings her fan and sends out a barrage of blades. Karina avoids them. One of the cuts my right side and another gets my left leg, making me grunt at the stinging pain.

Kagura grind in triumph. "Looks like you're not completely invincible after all, Your Highness." Karina goes to attack her but misses the red eyed woman. She sends out another barrage of blades that cut me again, slicing into my casual pink kimono and tearing it.

One of them even gets Karina's front right leg.

"K-Karina...! Run! Get back to Sesshy-kun!" I order. She hesitates at first but reluctantly flees, limping a little.

I drop to my knees from that second attack. More of those blades had hit me.

I glare at Kagura through my bangs as I feel my consciousness slipping.

Then my mind was enveloped by blackness as I collapse on the grass.

Sesshomaru's P. O. V:

I wait back with Shinobu, Rin and Jaken for Sakura to return from the village. The sun has completely set. She said she'd return an hour ago. Now I'm getting worried.

"I'm worried," Says Shinobu. "I wonder where nee-chan is?"

"Oh, I'm sure she'll be back soon!" Says Rin. We fall silent as we wait for the princess to return.

When two hours pass and she still doesn't return, Shinobu says, "That's it! I'm going to look for her!" I was about to agree when bushes rustle. We all pause and turn towards it. "Who's there?!" Out of the bushes leaps Karina, looking frightful. There was a cut on her front right leg. Shinobu blinks his eyes. "Karina! You're back!" The nekomata leaps into his arms. "Where's nee-chan?" The nekomata meows in a worried tone, two tails flicking. Shinobu grows worried. He looks to us. "I don't understand her, but I think something's happened to nee-chan."

My heart crushes at the thought. I would kill anyone who brings harm to her.

"We need to go look!" Says Rin, worriedly. She turns to me. "Sesshomaru-sama!"
