I'm speechless.
I don't know if Daddy is mad at me, because all this time I'm having a lot of exes and there he is, Jacob claimed to be my girlfriend right after my breakup with Peter.
Daddy looked disappointed. Even my Mother almost cried because I lied to them. We're now sitting on the sofa facing my parents nervously, especially Jacob. He looks wan and I can feel his knees trembling. All I can do is to look at my feet because of shame.
"You, young man, what is your name?" I can sense Daddy is mad yet controlled. Jacob dreads how Daddy spoke to him.
"Daddy, don't scare him." I said but Daddy gave me a worn look. I spare him even though he was a playboy and pervert. After all, he is kind to me.
"Quiet Avyanna, I'm talking to your boyfriend not you."
"But Dadd-"
"I-I'm J-Jacob Sir, " he cleared his throat. "I'm Jacob Damon Mondejar owner of the M.Wine Company." I look at him shocked. He shouldn't talk with my father while stammering, my Daddy will call him a coward and liar.
Kunot ang noo ni Daddy sa paraan ng pagsasalita ni Jacob, "and how old are you?"
"Twenty four s-sir. I'm twenty four years old."
I switched my eyes to Daddy and Mommy. They're both laughing out loud. They also whisper to each other as if they remember something.
"Daddy, Mommy, What are you doing?!"
Daddy jolted on his seat when he heard me warning him about their behaviour. Sometimes my parents acts like they are young again which makes me frustrated, because they always do it when I'm introducing new people I meet or even my friends.
"Ehem. We've just remember something."
Umayos ako ng pagkaka upo kahit nagpipigil ng sila ng tawa. Jacob looked at me confused. Nagkibit balikat nalang ako dahil maski ako ay walang ideya kung ano ang naalala nina Daddy.
"Daddy can you please?"
"Silence Avyanna. May kasalanan ka pa sa amin ng Mommy mo." Umirap nalang ako sa kawalan. They shouldn't give a big fuss about this. Inaasar na nga ako ng mga pinsan at untie ko dahil wala man lang DAW akong boyfriend na nagpapakilala.
I'm already twenty two! Kahit boyfriend man lang ayaw nila.
"How long are we going to sit here babe?" Napatalon ako sa kinauupuan ko ng bulungan ako ni Jacob. Halos mapamura ako, ramdam na ramdam ko yung mainit nyang hininga sa tenga dahilan ng pagtayo ng mga balahibo ko. My goodness! He gives me creeps!
"Wag ka nang magtanong, napagalitan tuloy ako sa kalokohan mo!" I whispered almost shouting.
"Hindi ako manloloko dito Av."
"Then what?!"
Umiwas sya ng tingin. Mukhang ayaw nya talaga sabihin kung anong pumasok sa utak nya at bigla akong niyayang makipag date.
"May I have your attention lovers?"
Lumipat ang tingin ko kay Daddy na naka ayos na ng upo. Napansin kong wala na si Mommy sa upuan nya, siguro ay naghahanda ng makakain dahil nag tanghalian na.
"Jacob, right? You cannot hook my daughter with that fast young man. You need to get through my challenges."
Napalunok ako sa mga sinasabi ngayon ni Daddy. I already know what he wants to do with Jacob.
