After taking down the trial in Brooklet Hill yesterday and relaxing for a day, you all decided to tackle the Lush Jungle trial today. You all decided to head out north of route 5 early in the morning after breakfast.
"Say [Y/N], consider this as a request or begging or whatever how you want to take it... can you NOT try to cause a similar 'problem' like yesterday?" Ash said with a threatening tone while looking at you.
"Hmm? What problem did I cause? I do not remember doing anything that seems to cause trouble for anyone thou?" You responded with a confused expression.
"...Are you playing dumb with me?"
"Nah, why would I?"
"YOU CREATED A CRATER IN THE TRIAL AREA YESTERDAY, DIDN'T YOU?!" Ash yelled at you while you put a finger into your ear.
"Gosh, tone it down! It's early in the morning and you have to go shouting like some mad man. Indeed, I think I did cause maybe 1 or 2 craters but all end up well. Plus, it's not like it is the first time you see it." You let out a shrug as you notice that you guys are reaching the destination.
Ash let out a sigh in defeat as he looks at you as if you are some troublesome kid.
"Well, this is [Y/N] we are talking about. At this point, no matter how much we scold or warn him, it is useless. I have already given up on the matter, Ash." Serena said with a wry smile while she pats on Ash's back.
Not knowing why the two of them are reacting that way, you decide to ignore them and wonder what kind of trial is waiting for you.
After walking for another 5 minutes, you guys have finally arrived at Lush Jungle.
"Welcome to Lush Jungle. I have been waiting for your arrival challenger!" a girl with green hair responded with an energetic tone.
"You are?" You ask curiously.
"Oh my, it seems I was too excited that I forgot to introduce myself! I am Mallow, the trial captain for Lush Jungle. I have heard from Lillie that you all will be doing this trial this morning together. You guys sure are lucky." Mallow said with a smile.
"Hm? Lucky? It sounded as if this trial has some condition to undergo it." You ask.
"Oh? Lillie, didn't you tell them anything?" Mallow asks as she looks at Lillie curiously.
"Ahahaha, I think I have forgotten to tell them since I was able to make a booking with you," Lillie said as she responded in embarrassment.
"I see... Well, it does not matter. Allow me to explain then. My trial is unique as it requires the challenger to collect ingredients to prepare a meal for the totem pokemon as well as to challenge it.
Due to the overwhelming of the challenger is undergoing the trial challenge and due to the condition of my trial, I can only accept 3 groups per day with the following time: morning, afternoon, and night.
That way, I said that you guys are lucky since Lillie called to make a reservation with me yesterday night." Mallow said as she looks at you guys with a smile.
"Er...Can trial even make a reservation at all?" Ash asks as he looks at you and Serena.
"Normally you can't. However, since I own Lillie a little favor hence thought of repaying her with this." Mallow responds with a smile.
"This captain sure has some guts in her." You silently thought to yourself.
"Now we have done our little introduction, shall we get your trial started?" Mallow asks as you guys look and one another and nod in agreement.
"Follow me then." Mallow wave her hand as she signals you all to follow her. After walking for a bit, you guys arrive at a section of the forest and notice that there is a huge pot sitting at the center.
"A pot?" You ask in curious as you approach it and inspect it.
"Yes, it is a pot. As I mentioned earlier, the challenger is required to collect the ingredient and prepare a meal for the totem pokemon as a part of the trial. So, first thing first, it's time for you all to go and collect the ingredient." Mallow smiles at you all as she handles you guys ' 3 different envelop.
After she handles all the envelop, she explains that the envelope contains the list of ingredients that you guys are to collect followed by a map of where to collect them. Furthermore, as you all are collecting the ingredients, there is a chance that you guys will be assaulted by wild pokemon.
"Hmm... So, there are 3 different lists of ingredients to collect huh? Let see... We are to collect berries, herbs, and vegetables? What is with this weird ingredient?"
"Shall we split into 3 groups then?"
"Let's do that since it will be efficient that way. Let's split into this way:
Berries: [Y/N]
Herbs: Serena and Lillie
Vegetable: Me
Is it alright with everyone?" Ash asks.
"I don't mind at all."
"Same here."
"Well, I have no issue but can you identify what is the kind of vegetable that we need?" You ask Ash as he nodded with confidence.
"I have some doubt in it but let's leave it like that for the time being." You said as you took out one of your Pokeball. You then send out your Golisopod and ask it to protect Serena and Lillie.
"I am sure the girls can protect themselves as they do have their team with them," Ash comments as he looks at you with a wry smile.
"Just in case. You will never know what kind of pokemon you can find in the jungle. Oh Golisopod, feel free to blast or slice any 'bug' that comes near the girls." Golisopod nodded as you pet its head while Ash could only stand there and shake his head.
"Well then, it seems you guys are more or less ready. If so, good luck challenger and let the trial begin!" Mallow exclaims as you guys split out to complete the given task.
