Chapter-2 :"uneasy love"

(Lana's pov)

As I was walking down towards my campus, I got a notification from my one and only bestfriend Blain Yang.

I met her on my first day of college. She is a 'handsome' tomboy-ish girl and she is also in our school's basketball club. I opened my notification and saw her texts.

Okok i am entering the campus

(Blain's pov)

Damm why is she so late for..?
As i was thinking about Lana someone called me from behind
"Hey Blain, it's your turn."

As I entered the court and got to my position, I heard the whistle and my opponent striked the ball directly towards me.

But I couldn't score, as I was distracted by the thoughts of Lana but when I realised that I couldn't receive the ball and I missed it, I realised 'What am I doing?! I can't afford to let her see me like this!'

And by thinking like that it encouraged me, and I scored one after another.

As the game took a good turn towards our team I quickly took a glance in the audience and there I saw Lana tip-toeing and walking in a weird bending position to not disturbe the audience in the front row as she stand at the corner of the stadium. I found it quite funny but also got the reassurance in my game.

After 2 and a half hour of intense gameplay The referee shouted "THE WINNER IS HAYDEN UNIVERSITY."

We won, got the prize and I went towards Lana. We high-fived and told her to wait for me as I have to change and shower.

After I showered and went towards my locker to dress in my normal white t-shirt and black jeans I saw the present I got for Lana.

I opened the case and there was a blue crystal necklace that I personally choose for her and I muttered "She will be delighted." I smiles and turn around to see if anybody was there 'cause I don't want anybody to see me muttering, but right now even if they do who cares after all today I am gonna express my feelings for her.

As I bid goodbye to my teammates and walked toward the seat where Lana is waiting. As i walked quitly closed towards her seat I saw a black head cheerleading girl with her pink highlights facing Lana, and I realised that she is no one else but Bella Anderson, our teams typically spoiled bratty cheerleader. She is so cunning and always wants to stick her ass up in my buisness, I truly hate that bitch.

As I was approaching them I heard her saying "WHY THE HELL YOU ARE HERE!? DO YOU EVEN KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BASKETBALL???"

I saw Lana stuttered as she was feeling agitation by that bitch. I got so angry, that I walked upto them and suprising them both.

And I told Bella "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING."

"I-I was just t-telling her that why s-she is here.. as she d-don't know anything about b-basketball" Bella stuttered.

"She came here to see me and it's none of your concern." After saying it i hold Lana's hand and dragged her out towards the exist.

I saw that Bella wanted to stop me and she even tried to "because I-" as she raised her hands to hold me but i shrugged her hands off and walked off with Lana before she could even finish her sentence.

(Bella's pov)

As Blain left with Lana I quietly finished my sentence "because I am the one who truly cares about you Blain..." and stand there alone in the middle of the empty stadium.

(Blain's pov)

As I walked with Lana on the footpath we joked a lot and the weather was also quite pleasant, the sun was about to set and the whole sky was looking so beautiful as dusk was turning into dark night sky and the cool wind was blowing softly.

I peeked at Lana from the corner of my eyes to see her. She was looking sooo pretty, her eyes were glistering by the reflection of the light up on the road lamps, the wind blowing her hair falling onto her face, as she tucked it behind her ears. She is looking so fucking gorgeous that I am going to fall head over heels for her all over again..

That's when I remembered about the gift and also about my confession so cleared my throat and said "Lana I have somethin-"
I got cut off by a man who suddenly walked towards Lana.
