Jack's mother soon called for him as it was now nighttime. She walked to the field trying her best not to bump into what remaining pumpkins they had with her boots. At last she saw something rustle in the shrub nearby.

"Jack?" She called again as he walked over cautiously. Suddenly out from the shrub jumped a pumpkin headed child.

"Boo!" It said with a laugh.

She gasped a little but sighed in relief when seeing the costume it was wearing was her own child.

"Jack honey don't do that! You nearly gave me a heart attack! But what are you doing with a pumpkin on your head?" She asked feeling the round smooth surface.

"It's to help my costume look more real!" He said giggling. She sighed and smiled. Kids these days. Normally a parent would want them to take off a pumpkin from their head. But being it was Halloween she might as well humor him.

"Well alright. But please take it off when we get back home" she said, taking hold of his hand. Not noticing a pumpkin leaf sticking out from the sleeve.

"Okay mom" he said with a smile. As they walk, he glances back at the shrub. Knowing that behind that shrub is the buried body of his ex friend. And how his bloody head is still sticking out with vines around it, to make it look like a pumpkin. And he knows he'll have to return to the witch soon. But he smiles basking in this moment.

He smiles knowing that Jack Jr will finally get to experience a normal night of trick or treating.
