People had a lot of misconceptions about Eddie, one of them being that he was a huge party animal. Maybe it was the size of his hair or his stubborn and wild personality that he put up at school, but he wasn't much into it. Sure, he enjoyed a beer with his friends, and his favourite place in the world was a grubby moshpit at a loud concert, but that was not the same as some dumb house party where the only thing to drink was either warm beer or mysterious punch and where no one even wanted him to be there in the first place.

But he showed up for two reasons. It was still something to do on a lonely night, better than sitting alone in his uncle's trailer. And two, it was a way to make a quick and easy buck. No one was easier to sell weed to than drunk teenagers.

He walked around the house, chatting people up with a cup. Some people were interested, even bought something off him, but most scoffed and told him to fuck off (but Eddie knew they would be back in a few minutes. Suddenly, their interest peaked).

'Hey, you're the weed guys, right?' Someone tapped him on the shoulder, and Eddie turned around to meet the eyes of a beautiful girl. A beautiful... but a highly drunk girl. Her words were slurred, and the focus had left her eyes as she stood in front of him.

'Uhh, yeah,' Eddie said hesitantly, 'what I can help you with?'

'Weed, obviously,' she laughed. 'You're not the brightest cookie in the jar, are you?'

'Heh, depends. I'm not sure you should have even more shit in your system, sweetheart.' Eddie smiled at her but nervously started to look around. It didn't seem like she was being supervised by anyone. No one was watching her while she was stumbling around and now trying to get into an even worse state. 'Are you here with anyone?'

'With my boyfriend,' she rolled her eyes. 'He's... oh,' she turned around, ready to point out her boyfriend to Eddie, but he was apparently nowhere to be seen, to her disappointment.

'Had a lot to drink, had we?' He looked her up and down since she did not seem to be too stable on her feet.

'I don't know, have we?' She asked, giggling. Then Eddie noticed her holding a cup in her hand, the content splashing around as she moved. He gently took the cup from her and let the content scorch his nostrils basically when he breathed it in.

'Jesus H. Christ, what is in this stuff?' He didn't dare take a sip himself; instead, he put it on top of a shelf next to him.

'Don't know,' she shrugged. 'But are you gonna sell me the stuff or not?'

'I really think you've had enough. And should maybe get some rest, actually.' He had to get this girl away from the alcohol before she would get seriously injured or something. So, keeping a safe distance, he led her upstairs. Of course, most rooms were already occupied by actual couples with different plans, but eventually, Eddie found a room for her to rest in. The bed was large and looked comfortable, and he helped her lie down. Almost as soon as her head hit the pillow, she fell asleep.

Before leaving, Eddie went over to the bathroom to get her a glass of water to drink if she woke up. He had just come back from the en suite and was about to put the glass on the bedside table when the door swung open. The girl barely moved.
