Once i was dressed and ready, i headed down the stairs and into the kitchen. "you ready?" Alyssa asked with her face stuffed with my favorite cereal. "yeah. where are we going? and who are we hanging out with? you never told me." i asked slinging on my leather jacket. Lyss laughed "yeah, i know. now hurry up lets go!" she said and stood up leaving the bowl, she rushed over to the front door picked up my shoes and pushed me out of the door, she grabbed my keys from my purse and put my shoes in front of my feet. I slipped on my flip flops/shoes and started walking to my car. "no, Helena we're taken' my car!" Lyss said excitedly and ran to her car, i rolled my eyes but walked over to the passenger seat. "hurry up loser, we've got people waiting on us" she said to me with a smirk, she was obviously planning something. I got in and she turned on some music, of course she has to put on her favorite country CD she burned. i laughed a little when she started singing along to Blake Shelton - Honey bee.

the car came to a stop on the beach, it was about an hour before dark. meaning a good 75% of the people there were in the 'partying' mood, if you get what i mean. "you brought me to a beach party?" i asked laughing a little "yeah, i thought you should meet some new people! c'mon, it healthy." she got out and walked over to a group of people we knew. i sighed, i stepped out of the car "i wanna go home!" i yelled over to her, but she didn't hear me. I closed the door to the car and walked over to her, she was flirting with the school hottie type, but he didn't seem interested at all, well in her anyway, me- he was looking at like i was a porn star he just bought. I tapped Alyssa on the shoulder and she turned to look at me "yes?" she asked ever so innocently. I looked at her from head to toe "baby, i think we should go somewhere private" i said and winked broadly. she caught on to what i was trying to hint at and slung her arm around me and started to walk into a different direction. once the group of guys were out of sight, she took her arm back and started laughing, so did i. "he really wasn't interested? like, at all?" she finally asked when she stopped laughing. "no, he wasn't. he was more interested in me then a fish in front of a worm on a hook. keep trying though, but try someone else who doesn't look like they workout every 5 minutes." i suggested. Alyssa nodded and ran off after some hunk that just passed us. The sky looks beautiful, i love sunsets. shame i have to spend it alone... i walked over to the sand near the water and sat down, not caring that there would be left over sand on my shorts when i stand up next. It was silent, other then the quiet, subtle sound of small, light waves running over the sand before returning to the ocean. It was peaceful, i couldn't even hear the once loud party not too far away. I realized my eyes were closed and opened them a little to watch the sun go down. i jumped slightly when i noticed someone was sitting next to me. I slowly turned my head to look at the person. It was a guy, he looked sort of built, like, strong. He probably works out, but not too much like that guy from before that Alyssa was gonna go for, he was much more handsome. He had his eyes closed, just like what i had done- enjoying the sounds of the ocean. He has a thick build and tall body, his hair was short but not too short, his tanned skin went beautifully with his dirty blonde sandy-like hair, i can't see his eyes but i bet they're nice. He is resting his upper-body on his elbows with his head back and legs crossed. Looking away i felt heat rush to my cheeks thinking about how i was starring at him for longer then it takes just to look someone over, but i couldn't help myself, i looked back at him. A smirk appeared on his face showing a bit of his flawless teeth. "I've been stared at before, but never for that long." he said smugly and peeked open one eye, keeping the smirk he had on. His one open eyelid let the captivating greenish blue color of his eye show and glow beautifully in the sunset lighting. my jaw nearly dropped at how hot he is. "no comment?" he added. my face must be beet red, i am so embarrassed. "oh, uh, i'm sorry i didn't mean to stay silent like that." i laughed a little. "i knew my approach was not the best at trying to talk to you, but i couldn't leave this party without knowing i gave it a shot, i just seen you when you got here, and thought you were worth my time, like someone like you'd give me a chance." he shrugged "so, was i right?" he said now smiling.
