Jay's P.O.V:
I could see why Maya didn't want me to come to her house to meet her mother, she abused her and treated her like crap but I felt like I should try and make an effort to see her maybe we could speak and I could persuade her to stop abusing her and then maybe the violance would stop but that is just wishful thinking. I loved Maya, she was like my sister and I wanted things to be good for her maybe she'd let me visit often and then we could have fun. we both were not ordinary I dont know if she knows or she felt it at all.I know I do.
When I arrived maya seemed very surprised and worried she didn't want me to be there and persuaded me to leave. Her mother was very strange. She was so pretty,formal and sweet that it was almost impossible to imagine her abusing her own child she was dressed to perfection.She was trying to persuade me to drink this orange drink she was nice at first and then her tone got nastier when I refused and suddenly she didn't look so pretty anymore. I didn't want to fight with her,not in front of Maya anyway, it would only make her more upset. It was just a stupid drink,so I drank it,I took one sip and this wonderful sweet flavour exploded in my mouth, the fact that it was ice cold only enchanced its sweetness which was so good.I drank all of it. She watched me like a hawk right untill I finished the very last drop.She gave a big satisfied grin and stopped being sweet.
"Right,you can go home now I am sure that mother of yours is waiting" she said
" I was hoping you would let me stay and play with Maya"
"Home NOW" She pointed towards the door
I got up and left. Maya had a pained expression on her face, I didn't want to leave her like that but I didn't really have a choice.
I thought long and hard about karnillas behaviour it was so strange she acted like a witch and she looked like one too but it's just not possible.That would mean... no she can't be.
