HAN SOLO
Ceren's eyes widen. Han. Chewie. She hadn't seen either of them in ages. She wonders if they would recognize her. She had grown older, and she also had a huge scar going down her face. She didn't want to tell Han that his son had did that to her. Ceren was happy to hear him and realize that he was alive and well, but she also dreaded talking to him. Suddenly the grating gets pulled above the four of them. Rey and Finn put their hands up in surrender, but Ceren waits to see if maybe they would recognize her.
"Where are the others? Where's the pilot?" Han asks the group. He still had yet to look at Ceren.
"I-I'm the pilot," Rey tells Han. Ceren stays quiet and shifts nervously. Han's eyes flicker over to Ceren and a rollercoaster of emotions go through his eyes. First confusion, than realization, sadness, and finally happiness.
"Ceren?" Han questions. Ceren gives a sheepish smile and Chewie begins to speak.
"Yeah, it's me and I have missed you too Chewie," Ceren told the pair. Ceren climbs out of the hiding spot and Finn and Rey follow right behind her. BB-8 was able to use his magnetic arm to pull himself out.
"You can understand that thing?" Finn asks Ceren. Ceren rolled her eyes and before she could respond Han beats her to it.
"And 'that thing' can understand you too, so watch it," Han tells Finn pointedly. Han then gives Ceren a good look and pulls her into a tight hug, "I've missed you kid."
"I've missed you too Han," Ceren says hugging him back. Once Han releases her, Chewie is quick to take his spot and give her a huge hug as well while lifting her off the ground.
"I am so sorry for what happened," Han says with a look of guilt on his face, "did-did he do that to you?"
The question that Ceren had dreaded to hear. She knew it would come up eventually especially when it when down from the right corner of her forehead to the bottom left corner of her face. Ceren gave Han a small nod, "It wasn't your fault...I didn't think he would do something like did...I-I should've known what was going through his head and what he was going to do."
"Don't blame yourself...it wasn't your fault either," Han replied before changing the subject, "Where did you find the ship?"
"Niima Outpost," Ceren and Rey reply simultaneously.
"Jakku?" Han says shocked and annoyed, "That Junkyard?"
"Thank you!" Finn exclaims before turning to look at Rey, "Junkyard!"
"Told ya we should've double-checked the Western Reaches," Han says to Chewie before turning his attention back to Ceren, Rey, and Finn, "Who had it, Ducain?" Now Ceren didn't have an answer for this one, but Rey did.
"We stole it from Unkar Plutt and he stole it from the Irving Boys, who stole it from Ducain," Rey explained to Han.
"Who stole it from me!" Han exclaimed, "Well, you tell him Han Solo just stole back the Millennium Falcon for good." Han walks away to admire his ship and Ceren gives a small laugh to herself. He is still the same old Han Solo.
"Hey! Some moof-milker put a compressor on the ignition line," Han says annoyed.
"Unkar Plutt did...I thought it was a mistake too, puts too much stress on the hyperdrive," Rey says.
"...stress on the hyperdrive," Han had been saying simultaneously with her. Ceren watches as the conversation rolls out.
"Han...we need your help," Ceren tells Han when everyone had fallen silent.
"I figured since you were here...haven't seen you in ages," Han tells Ceren. A pang of sadness shoots through Ceren as guilt begins to make its way into her. "We had no idea where you were at...if you were still alive, Luke just disappeared and so did you...that was until Leia had been corresponding with Lor San Tekka, that's when we knew you were safe."
"I-I'm sorry I never reached out...I was terrified and confused, I didn't know what to do," Ceren apologizes.
"It's alright kid," Han smiles.
"We need to get this droid to the Resistance base as soon as possible..." Rey trails off. The look on Han's face said it all...he didn't want to go to the Resistance base.
"Han?" Ceren says noticing the silence and the look on his face, "Leia's there isn't she?"
"O-Oh yeah, she is...just after what happened...things just didn't really work out," Han answered her quietly. Ceren knew what he meant but anything they had mentioned briefly about the even without actually saying it...it confused Finn and Rey.
"He's carrying the map to Luke Skywalker," Finn jumps in breaking the awkwardness. Han stiffens and seems a little surprised. Before Han could respond a loud metal clank sounded through the ship. It was loud enough to even hear it clearly inside the Millennium Falcon. Han's eyes widen and so does Ceren's...what had Han gotten himself into this time.
"Don't tell me a Rathtars gotten loose."
