I lay silently in the silk sheets of the hotel. My one-night stand, Marquez De Martels sleeping soundly beside me. He's a French businessman who came to Japan for a business meeting. Unknown to him that he too is business for me.

I slide out of bed swiftly and slip on yesterday's outfit. I make my way silently around the hotel until I eventually find myself in front of a locked door.

"Bingo," I smirk to myself. Picking a hairpin from my hair, I pick through the lock easily. Once I get into the room, I huff at the sight of the large safe sitting on the wooden table. shutting the door behind me, I kneel down inf front of the safe. I place my ear against the cold, metal box, listening for each click as I turn the nob. the door swings open at the sound of the third click and sitting inside is a sapphire necklace. Also known as the heart of the sea. Legend says it was found in the remains of an old shipwreck. Since then, it has been passed down in the De Martel bloodline for six decades. Until now of course.

I replace the necklace with my own fake replica and slip out of the room unnoticed by the servants he brought along with him. I easily make my way towards the door, sneaking out of the hotel room. "Pleasure doing business with you," I smirk, exiting the premises.

Once I reach my own penthouse, not far from the hotel, I'm greeted by my best friend Keigo Takami sitting on my couch. "You got it?" He ask, not bothering to sit up. "Like I'd come back without it," I chuckle, plopping down beside him. I pull out the necklace and his eyes light up. He reaches for it exitedly, only for me to move it out of his reach. "Ugh uh," I tell him. "Not until I get my pay," I tell him. rolling his eyes, he pulls out a leather black brief case. Putting in the code, he opens it. Sitting inside is three million dollars in bills. Flipping through it all quickly with my thumb, I count it all. "It's scary how fast you do that," he sighs, closing the case.

We I toss him the necklace, taking the briefcase. Keigo and I have been doing this for years. I steel the goods and he exchanges it for bills. What am I going to do with a bunch of stollen goods anyways. I'd rather the money. Money pays the bills around here.

"With skills like thse, you might find me on one knee one day," he jokes. "Nah, marriages not for me," I chuckle. "What's with you and your hate for love?" He ask. "I don't hate it," I shrug. "It's just not for me. Sex is way better. Pleasure with no commitment," I point out. "Slut," he jokes. "Am not," I shoot back. "I just like sex more than people," I add on. "That's the definition of a slut, you man whore," he says, laughing. "No, it's the definition of a happy man," I smirk. "Cheers to that," he chuckles. "So, what are you going to do when you find your soulmates?" He ask, pointing to my wrist where my soulmate mark is. Well one of them anyways. The other is one my neck. The one of my wrist is of two coy fish circleing around one another.

Whoever are my soulmates are have personalities for sure. "Run," I laugh.  "Whoever they are have their work cut out for them. You truly are one of a kind," he smirks. "I take that as a compliment," I respond, whipping my hair in his face. "I should start praying for them now," Keigo sighs. "Don't be mean," I fake pout. "I could be an angel if I wanted to," I say in a matter-of-fact tone. "Then why aren't you?" He ask in a deadpanned tone.

"Jerk," I laugh, whacking him in the head with a pillow. "Don't blame me for pointing out that you're an asshole," he laughs, throwing the pillow back.
