Love is a funny word. No matter how you interpret it, it all goes back to the same meaning.

"An intense feeling of deep affection"

Unlike Noe, many of his friends have begun to find love in their lives, Except him. "What's so different about me." "Why can't I find love like the others?" That was Noe's initial thought.
He couldn't seem to find the problem that separated him from the others. He's liked people in the past, of course, but it never seemed to work out for him.
"This year is my first time in high school, I can't screw it up. I'm definitely going to date some hot chick. I just need to improve on even getting past the talking phase."
Noe thought as he laid in bed, staring at the ceiling.
He fixed himself upright, and grabbed his phone that was sitting beside him on his nightstand. He checked the time.
"Jeez, it's already 12:25 am? I better get to sleep. Tomorrow is my first day of high school, and I don't wanna be late."
He put his phone back on the nightstand and laid in bed.
Noes alarm goes off, it's 6:23 am. He gets up and walks to the bathroom, he begins to get ready for school. After he finished showering and brushing his teeth, he goes to his room to change.
He shakily walks to the kitchen.
"Im so nervous, I know all my friends are going to be there, but this is a whole new experience!"
He pours himself a bowl of cereal, since it's 20 minutes till he has to be in school. By the time he finishes, 10 minutes have already passed.
"Mom! Im ready to go to school. Can you drive me?"
"Just a second honey! Let me start the car."
Noe walks outside and enters the car. He's really nervous, but being nervous won't attract any of the ladies, so he acts tough, pretending he was never nervous in the first place.
Noe arrives at school.
"Bye Mom, pick me up after school, okay?" "Okay hun, I'll be here at 5:00 to pick you up. Have fun at school!"
He walks up to the big double doors standing before him. This is it. Don't screw it up.
As he goes into school, he spots one of his friends.
"Hey Ramiro! Long time no see. Are you nervous for your first day of high school?"
"What's up Noe! Nah, I'm not that nervous. I just saw the rest of the guys over there, we should go hang with them."
They walk up to the rest of their group, where they encounter familiar faces. Julissa, Alexa, Joachim, Hector, and Andrew.
"Hey guys, me and Ramiro spotted you from over there. How you guys been?"
"We've been fine!" Says Joachim.
As everyone starts talking and getting to know about each others summers, someone catches Noe's eye.
There was a boy with long hair leaning against the lockers. He had black headphones, and he was wearing a hoodie.
"Noe! Noe!" Andrew says, trying to get his attention.
"W-What?? Sorry, I was just spacing out."
"Ooo, has a girl caught your eye Noe?" Hector says with a smug smirk plastered on his face.
Not exactly a girl, Noe thought.
