"What's the problem with declaring war against the cloud rain society? We're not on good terms anyways, are we?"
Yi Zaha hums, "Hm.."
Thud!
He then slams his fist on the armrest of his chair, making everyone in the room sweat profusely.
"Cloud Rain Society!" he seethes "As I thought, there's no way I can leave a clan with such an immoral name be! Administrator Byeok, there's not need to disguise it as a letter of goodwill. Just send them a blatant declaration of war!"
Wait..You're declaring war against a clan just because you don't like their name?
"The cloud rain society are also the enemies that severed our master's arm and hurt our elder sister Mantis! As his disciples, isn't it obvious that we should take revenge against them?!"
You want to take revenge against someone who severed master's arm when you're the one who killed him...?????
this guy is crazy...
"Where is your answer?" Yi Zaha demands, looking down at his new servants.
"Ah, yes..."
"Yes, well..we should."
"Guys," Yi Zaha calls, noticing the lack of energy.
"Cheer up."
"...Yes."
━━━━┅━━━┅━━━━
The rain does not show mercy as it continues to pour out the sorrows of the gods, the grey clouds gloomy as the winds roar.
"We got lucky to have gotten a free room here. I hear this inn is often full." You comment as you take off your weibo, hanging it on a coat hanger while making the sure the delicate veil is not damaged.
Yi Zaha hums in agreement whilst taking off his robe and laying on the bed. He deflates, a tired frown on his face/
Wou chuckle at his exhausted state, sitting down on the edge of the bed beside him.
"Say, why do you venture out so frequently? do you not have a home to return to?" You ask, finally able to voice out your curiosity after so long.
"I wish to become the worlds craziest demon." He does not hesitate to answer, locking his fingers behind his head to relax.
"And you? You must have a reason to be travelling as well."
"I'm trying to find pieces of myself."
Yi Zaha raises an eyebrow, "Pieces of yourself?"
Nodding, you turn your head to look down at him from your position, "My previous master gave out pieces of my soul before he died. I'm trying to find them so I can live by my own orders."
"You're talking about the soul seal, right?"
"Bingo." you grin, unconsciously moving a hand to caress the spot where the seal mark was once on your abdomen.
You were fortunate to have the poison demon help you break free from the seal, but not fortunate enough to have him help you locate where the remaining pieces of your soul were.
"I'm curious, how does it feel to be alive with an incomplete soul?"
You shrug, "It feels...y'know, incomplete."
"I still don't understand." He deadpans, shaking his head at the lack of explanation.
"What would you be doing if you were still an errand boy, even after being badly beaten up?" you sigh.
"I would most likely be aimless. Not knowing what to do."
"exactly, Zaha."
His eyes show you that he's realized what you meant.
-----
"Your soul is complete now, and you belong to yourself." Yi Zaha whispers as he sits at the edge of the bed you rested on, one hand on his lap while the other carefully caressed your hair.
The mark on your skin is slowly fading away, and with each passing hour, your condition seems to stabilize.
He's dying inside, he wants to enter your soul again—just like he did so earlier. He didn't know entering a person's soul was possible, hell, he didn't even think to consider it was a possibility.
he's curious, far too curious.
"..She wouldn't mind a second time."
Deciding 'fuck it', he recalls what he did previously and puts his hand where your seal is and closes his eyes, waiting for something to happen.
He hears you groan, and opens his eyes but is disappointed to see that he was not within the domain of your soul.
"What are you doing?" you tiredly look up at the ravennett, wondering what he was up to with his hand so boldly placed on your bare skin.
"If you're trying to touch my soul again, you'd have to wait until i'm on the verge of death." you sigh, rubbing circles on the temples of your forehead.
"ah.."
he's about to respond, but he sees thick tears trailing down your cheeks.
You notice as well, wiping them with the blanket you had wrapped around you, "My physical body is reacting like this because I cried when I was within my soul." you explain, seeing his panicked expression, obviously not knowing how to react.
"The piece that the Great Rakshasa had taken away from me was sorrow. if I didn't have that then I would flawlessly carry out orders without the burden of feeling bad for a victim.
as soon as that piece reconnected, all the sorrow I should have felt came rushing in."
Yi Zaha nods, patting your back awkwardly. "I see.."
The door slides open, and in comes White Tiger without his mask with a tray of food. He bows at the sight of Yi Zaha before taking the empty seat next to your bed. His eyes widen at the sight of you crying, but you weren't crashing out and sobbing hysterically, so he thought it should be fine to continue with his intentions.
"Sister, I sensed you were awake, so I brought porridge." he bows at you as well, presenting the said meal.
You smile, "Thank you, brother."
Yi Zaha dismisses him after taking the bowl of porridge along with the spoon, scooting closer to you while scooping up the soup with a spoon and bringing it close to your lips.
"I will nurse you until you are better."
"t-that's not needed, I can feed myself-"
"I am your union master and you will listen to what orders I give out."
"yes..;;"
