Finally, I can get my revenge. Finally, I can make him pay. The wolf bolted through the forest, barely paying much attention to his surroundings. He knew where he was going, and he knew what he needed to do.

"Chance! Wait.."

Chance quickly stopped and turned to face the other.

The grey wolf caught up with him and looked him in the eyes. "Are you sure you want to do this.?"

"Look, dad. I have to do this." Chance turned away from Dallas and continued forward.

"Just don't get yourself killed, Chance.."

It was now daybreak.

The Alpha of the Crimson Shadow Pack was already out looking for food for the pack. As Admiral wandered further into the forest, he couldn't help but feel like something was watching him.
All of a sudden, another wolf tackled him to the ground. Admiral kicked it off and got up. The two made eye contact and the fight was on as they ripped into each other.
I can't kill him, Chance reminded himself as he put his paw over the Alpha's back and knocked him to the ground. Before Admiral could get up, Chance grabbed him by the neck and pinned him down.

One of the pack members had heard the fighting. Instead of saying anything, Alex only looked in that direction, ears perked. The other two quickly caught on and bolted into the forest.

It wasn't long until the two wolves showed up. Astrid snarled and lunged at Chance, only for another wolf to knock her down. The she wolf got up and tried to fight, quickly losing and ending up on the ground.
"Back down if you know what's good for you," Dallas growled right before grabbing her muzzle for a second. He got off and stared at her, waiting for her reaction. Astrid whimpered and rolled over onto her side in defeat.

Dallas turned to the remaining wolf, looking him dead in the eyes.

Xavier pinned his ears as he glanced over at Astrid. His only options were submit or die. He sighed and looked at the ground, refusing to make eye contact with Dallas. "You win.."

Dallas glanced over at Chance then back at the pack. "Do it. I'll watch these two."
Chance let go of Admiral and got off of him. Before the alpha could get up, Chance placed his paw on the wolf's neck.
"You will die, but you will walk the Earth with the Phantom's Curse. I remove this curse from me and pass it onto you, Admiral Vincent." Chance looked the alpha in the eyes and gave a sadistic smirk. "Now we're even." He bit Admiral's throat and didn't let go until the wolf fell limp underneath him. Chance got off the wolf and shifted back to human form. He kneeled down beside the body and quickly checked for a heartbeat. Nothing. Using some of Admiral's blood, Chance drew an x over the wolf's heart. He looked at Dallas and smiled slightly.
The grey wolf faded away..

Chance got up and took out his gun, going up to the two wolves and aiming it at the she wolf. "You. Get up."
Astrid slowly got up and looked at Chance, her ears pinned and her tail tucked.
"Shift." Chance kept the gun trained on her. Astrid seemed confused for a second, but then she shifted to her human form. She took a step back and slowly put her hands up. "W-We don't have anything. A-And there's not much of a pack. It's j-just us."

"Stay where you are. Don't move."
Chance turned, the gun now aimed at Xavier. "You too. Shift. Now."
Xavier also shifted back. He looked at the gun and froze.

All of a sudden Chance turned the gun on Astrid. "I know for a damn fact there's one more of this pack. Where is he."

"I... I don't know where he is."

As if on cue, another wolf cautiously came out from behind some trees. Alex looked at the gun then at the rest of the pack. He shifted back and stared at Chance, trying to figure out why he recognized him.

"Hey Alex." Chance slightly smiled at him as he put the gun back in it's holster.
"Who are you?" Alex asked, tilting his head slightly.

"You probably don't remember me, you were pretty young.. I'm Chance Miles, I'm your older brother."

Everything seemed to come back at once.
That night, hearing fighting and being told "Justin, Alex, stay in here, I'll be right back." She never came back. Chance did. "I'll be right back for you Alex." Chance took Justin by the scruff and ran. Admiral found Alex before Chance could.

Alex went up to Chance and hugged him. "You're not gonna leave again, right..?" Alex asked as he let go.

Chance looked him in the eyes. "I said I'd come back for you, and I did. You're coming with me."
The younger male's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Wait," Astrid spoke up. Chance glared at her, growling lowly. "I'm taking him with me, if you try to stop me, I will kill you," he snapped at her. She sighed softly. "I get that.. but can I at least say goodbye..?"

Alex looked at Astrid and moved away from her, whimpering softly.
"He doesn't want to," Chance growled at her. "Now get lost."

Astrid looked at Alex, giving a small wave. She shifted to her wolf and bolted off into the woods. Xavier watched her then looked at Chance, as if waiting for the ok to leave.

"You, whatever your name is. You got anywhere to go, pup?" Chance asked. But he already knew the answer was no..

"I don't have anywhere," Xavier admitted. "The rest of the pack is dead, my dad's dead, and Astrid wouldn't want me anyways.."

"Aight.. Come with us if you want," Chance offered.
Xavier tilted his head in confusion.
Chance sighed and explained, "I don't want you to end up like me, kid. That's not a life for anyone." He shifted to his wolf, so did Alex. Chance started off in the direction he came from. Alex followed and then stopped, turning and looking at Xavier. Waiting for him.

Seeing his adoptive brother's reaction, Xavier gave in and shifted. He glanced at his father's body and then bolted after the two brothers.

That night when Astrid returned to find her brother's body, it was gone. The blood was gone too. All that was there, was a blood stain in the shape of an X.

"Hey, Astrid.."
The she wolf spun around and was face to face with Admiral, who was surrounded by a blue mist..
