It started in the summer. Another one of my adventures across the globe, this time - South Korea. I went with my flat mate, Kay. She's a bright soul with an appearance to match! Never wears anything dark or subtle, she's a fan of 'in-your-face fashion' and garish colours, always dying her hair obnoxious colours on this particular trip it was a dark blue, one of the more calm hairstyles she's had.
Ugh airports. I hate airports, so many germs and screaming children, worn out families on their way home from holiday and dapper business men pushing people around as if they own the place. Kay, of course, loves them she says "they're a gateway to discovery" sometimes I think Kay and I are the antithesis of each other. She's bold and brash, I'm quiet and shy. She's moderately insane and I'm reasonably sensible. She likes rock music and tattoos, I like kpop and anime. I suppose this is why we're so good for each other, we're there for each other. No matter what.
As we stumbled onto the plane to take our seat, I reached in my bag and took out a book and my headphones. "You're not still reading that are you, Savannah?" Kay asked
"Please keep your voice down we don't need any more attention, you look like a friggin parrot"
"Hey! You gotta be nice to me, I let you pick where we're going this month!"
She was right, this was the first time she let me pick and she's fiery enough, I don't want her to kick off.
