"Hey, Freckles!"

Fred turned around, surprised to find Rapunzel inside the stands where the Gryffindor team would enter the field.

She had a flower in her hand, a sunflower, and she stuck it right in Fred's front pocket. Fred's face flushed, and he glanced down at the flower with a light feeling in his belly and back up at Rapunzel.

"Professor Sprout let me take one from the greenhouse, I figured you could use a new flower." Rapunzel shrugged, smiling nervously as she tucked a stray hair behind her ear.

"Oh," Fred nodded in understanding, trying to play it cool despite how warm his face had become and the fact that Rapunzel and the rest of the team could definitely see it. "Thanks, Blondie."

"Of course, can't have you losing a match now can we?" Rapunzel smirked at Oliver Wood, knowing how much that would devastate the Qudditch captain.

"Anyway, erm..." Rapunzel hesitated for a moment, seeming torn, before she stood on her toes and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek. "Good luck!"

Fred stared after her, dumbfounded and unblinking as she left back to the stands. His face was on fire now, and he could hear the team chuckling. He brought his hand to the spot where she had kissed him, and a dopey grin found its way to his face.

"Ooh, someone's got a crush." George sang, coming to ruffle Fred's hair. He always had the advantage of being a little taller.

Fred scowled, swatting George's hand away. "I do not."

"Uh huh, like you weren't blushing just a minute ago."

"Shut it."

Rapunzel was the first on the field after Harry hit the ground, cradling his arm and his face contorted in pain. He rolled desperately out of the way of the bludger, one time it got way too close to a particularly sensitive area.

Rapunzel sprinted over, pulling her wand from the sleeve of her robes and waving it across the air. "Protego!"

A translucent field surrounded her and Harry, one the bludger could not breach initially, but Rapunzel could only hold it for so long until it was subdued.

"Finite incantatum!"

The bludger exploded mid-air at the wave of Hermione's wand, raining shards of metal down on them, thankfully still deflected by Rapunzel's shield. Once it was safe, she tucked her wand away and let it fade.

"Harry, are you okay?" Rapunzel asked frantically, paying no mind to the Gryffindor team gathering around.

"My arm..." Harry winced. "I think it's broken."

"Let me see, I'll be gentle, I promise." Rapunzel carefully put her hands on Harry's arm as he slowly extended it, hissing in pain at the movement. She held his arm softly, fingertips trailing the skin. The blood was pumping like crazy to the wound, and the arm felt wrong, incomplete.

"You're right, it's broken." Rapunzel sighed, still holding his arm to support it. "We need to get you to Madame Pomfrey.

"Not to worry, not necessary." Lockhart interjected, and Rapunzel rolled her eyes into the next dimension. "I'll fix that arm of yours straight away!"

"With all due respect, Professor..." Rapunzel had to spit out the words, having hardly any respect for the man at all. "He needs a doctor."

Harry seemed to agree, looking terrified. "Not you."

"Silly boy doesn't know what he's saying," Lockhart brushed him off, grabbing Harry's arm with complete disregard to the pain he was in and rolling up his sleeve. "This won't hurt a bit."

Lockhart pulled his wand from his robes, and Rapunzel sent a frightened look to Hagrid who only shrugged.

"Braccium emendo!"

A bright blue light emitted from his wand, covering Harry's arm, before it eventually faded. Lockhart grabbed Harry's arm with a smug grin, prepared to show off his abilities, but Harry's arm did something unexpected.

It flopped over completely, bending in unnatural ways like rubber. Rapunzel could hear the muscle moving and the blood sloshing inside.

Several people groaned in disgust, and Rapunzel all but gagged.

"Ah, yes, well that can sometimes happen." Lockhart said nervously. But uh, the point is, uh..." he blended Harry's hand, and his knuckles touched his wrist painlessly. It made an even grosser sound as Harry stared at his arm in horror. "You can no longer feel any pain, and very clearly the bones are not broken–"

"Broken?!" Hagrid exclaimed in disbelief. "There's no bones left!"

"What was that spell even supposed to do?!" Rapunzel asked incredulously.

Lockhart didn't answer, pressing his lips into a thin line as Harry's hand fell back forward. "Much more flexible though."

"That's it, we're taking him to Pomfrey." Rapunzel sighed, helping Harry to his feet. Lockhart opened his mouth to protest but Rapunzel gave him a glare.

"No more spells, Lockhart!"
