Chapter 1 - A heart to heart

Sam was sitting down at the map table with his legs crossed on top of it.

" Sam may I have a word " Castiel calls out .

" Sure thing, what's up ? " Sam replies in a monotone voice.

" Ever since I had fallen awhile back, not only did it change my view of you, but how I feel about my dad. I mean why must he treat the others different then me, what have I done wrong. " Castiel exclaims with a now more sad expression on his face.

Sam with a smug look on his face " I'm sure there is nothing that you did wrong Cas, sometimes dads are dick for literally no reason at all. And this is speaking from experience "

Castiel tilts his head at Sam's response " So is there a way I can make him not be a " dick " ? Because i'm sure there has to be a reason. "

Sam lifts his legs off the table, now facing Castiel " I wish there was a reason our dads are like this, but you have to realize you're not the problem Cas. He is. "

" But how can you know that for sure ? My dad doesn't do stuff without reason. " Castiel tells Sam with his eyebrows furrowed.

" Because i've known you long enough to know there is not a single flaw about you Cas. Not a single reason to be mad nor upset with you. You're the most caring and genuine "person" I know Cas. " Sam says as he can feel the smile
growing on his face.

Castiel stares at Sam with a blank, almost confused expression

" Oh. I- I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything like that Cas. " Sam tells Castiel as he's looking down fidgeting with his fingers.

Castiel makes eye contact with sam as he can feel his cheeks getting red " I'd like to think I am far from uncomfortable Sam. Thank you for this chat, I should really get going now. I will consider what you said. "

Sams smile fades when Castiel leaves the room. " Did I really just say that out loud. " he says to himself.

He then stands up after a moment and walks to his bedroom to sleep the embarrassment off.
