"Papa! Papa!" Shroud called, one hand connecting to Clementine's, the other holding a picture book."Can you read this to us?" Shroud asked, holding the picture book up. 'Where The Wild Things Are' the title read, as Tommy smiled.
"Alright, alright.. But you know, Clementine, you really need to learn to read." Tommy sighed, laughing gently.
His voice was hoarse, they really are running low on water..
Clementine's long dirty blonde hair jiggled as she nodded her head vigorously, her Black-haired younger brother laughing when her hair covered her face.
"Papa!! Shroud is making fun of meee!!" Clementine groaned, earning a laugh from the dad of the two. "Clementine, he wasn't making fun of you, you just look silly with your hair like that." Tommy explained, smiling.
"Oh." Clementine giggled, smiling as she fixed her hair. "Read it!" Shroud insisted again, holding the book to Tommy's face.
"Alright, alright. Sit down, my little bugs." Tommy smiled, as the two giggled.

"Wilbyyy!! You always read! Why won't you read to me?!" Tommy huffed, the 7 year old was persistent in his attempts.
"Tommy, I have to read these for History class.. Pick out a picture book or soemthing." Wilbur sighed, finally giving in. "YAY!!" Tommy exclaimed, running off to get a book.
'The Cat In The Hat' was the title, as Tommy ran back to Wilbur's room, where the elder brother sat, awaiting Tommy and the book.
"This one! This one!" Tommy exclaimed, handing it to Wilbur. But just as Wilbur grabbed the book, his phone went off. Wilbur answered, "hm? Oh, yeah! I'm on my way!" Wilbur said quickly, hanging up.
"Sorry little hawk, I have to go- I promise I'll read to you when I get back!" Wilbur promised, ruffling Tommy's hair as he ran out.
Tommy sat there, huffing. "I WANT SKMEONE TO READ TO MEEE!!" He yelled, as he heard footsteps. "C'mon, you prefer heroes or gods?" Techno asked, walking towards Tommy.
"Tell me about heroes!!" Tommy exclaimed, grinning. "Hm.. Alright, well you know how I call you theseus?" Techno hummed, picking Tommy up and walking with him.
"Yeah, who the fuck is that?" Tommy asked, causing Techno to sigh. "Toms, how many times has Phil told you not to swear?" Techno asked, as Tommy groaned.
"And he told you to call him dad!!" Tommy exclaimed. As they reached Techno's room, Phil came running down the hall. "Techno, Mate, I need you to pick up Kristen's medicine!" Phil exclaimed, taking Tommy from his arms.
"But he was gonna readdd to meeee!!" Tommy groaned, as Phil sighed, smiling gently. "How about mum reads you something, hm?" Phil laughed, walking off with Tommy.
Tommy grinned, nodding his head vigorously. "Yeah, yeah!" Phil laughed at the boy's excitement. As Phil pushed open the spruce door, Tommy peeked inside the room he wasn't allowed to go in.
Dark purple wallpaper with a wooden border. Spruce flooring, pictures of the family on every wall with a window above the dresser.
The bed had green comforters, and Kristen laid there. It was a king-sized bed, bigger than any of the boy's beds.
"Our star was going to read to Tommy, but since he can't I told him you'd tell him a story. Only if you want to, of course." Phil explained, smiling at his love.
"Of course, come here, little one.." Kristen laughed, smiling. "Can you tell me about the goddess of death?" Tommy asked, grinning.
Kristen laughed, "Are you sure? It's a very old story." Tommy nodded with a wide smile on his face. "Alright, well.. Once upon a time, there was an avian. Half human, half bird." She bagen, as Phil sat Tommy in the bed beside her.
"The avian couldn't die of old age, and he flew and flew for years. He never had a home, nor a family." Tommy listened atently, as he always did. "One day, the avian was flying in a forest. He flew into a tree on accident, and fell. He would've died, had it not been for the goddess of death." She smiled at the gasp Tommy made. He knew the story by heart, and yet it still shocks him.
"The goddess of death had been watching the avian for years, though she could only come out on the night of the lunar eclipse. Luckily for the avian, that day was the lunar eclipse. When his name was on her list for those to die, she refused, instead granting him immortality."
Kristen suddenly stopped speaking, coughing up blood. Phil rushed to her side, "Kristen! Kristen, are you alright?!" He asked, as Tommy stared at her with worry. She simply nodded, "Perfectly fine, Phil.."
"When the avian met the goddess of death, he fell in love. The goddess and the avian shared a dimension, until the goddess went back to the realm of death. 5 years passed in the dimension the avian was now alone in, and when the goddess returned, she had found the avian had built so many amazing structures.. All alone. The goddess then on visited him annually, until her time as a goddess was up, and she lived with the avian, forever.."
Tommy's eyes sparkled, "The goddess sounds so cool! And the avian must've been amazing for the goddess to fall in love with him!" Kristen nodded, before coughing again. But this time, she didn't stop after one cough.
"Tommy! Toms- grab- grab my phone- And call 911! Tell them mommy needs an ambulance!" Phil exclaimed, trying to give Kristen medicine that she ultimately coughed out.
