Cherry tapped her foot mindlessly against the hard tiled flooring of the dimmed cafeteria quietly. The light sounds of her high heels making small clicks against the hard floor, as she silently seethed where she stood. Arms folded under her breast, she engaged in seldom conversations with her other friends and Darnell by her side. However, when no one was looking, she absentmindedly worried. Her sapphire gaze would dart over to the entrance whenever someone would come through, hoping for it to be her Ex with his date. Not a single lick of that neon blue hair was spotted. Not even those unmistakable white eyes of the smaller ginger came in. She expected to see Keith come in through those doors first at the very least, having a small feeling that the orange-haired male would have felt too nervous.

She was ready to pounce at the chance if she ever saw a single hair of cyan waltz through that door alone. It better have been accompanied by its orange counterpart, or Keith would surely have to start running. She was pretty quick in high heels and not many could escape her wrath when invoked. He would know better. He should know better than to leave behind the quieted ginger like that. She knew that the taller male has a huge crush on the freckled boy, of course. Now that she was aware of how Pico felt about her BF it sparked a fire in her when he silently acknowledged his feelings.

She would make sure that something will happen tonight. One of them will confess. She doesn't care who. Cherry gave another glance towards the door. The late stragglers of the night seemed to officially dissipate from the entryway, as it looked more deserted now than before. A silent and seething wrath began to envelop within her, as she waited patiently for those glass doors to open once more. The long stretch of quiet that encroached from the abandoned entrance made a prickling feeling of suspicion to float over her subconscious.

There was one or two ways that this was officially playing out. She had a feeling that Pico would stall in some way. His never-ending bout of nervousness was potent while discussing the fact of his attachment to her blue boy. Even though she was firm, she easily spouted the truth that he should confess his feelings. She knew both sides of this coin, and they felt mutually for each other, but never made an effort to say anything.

One of the ways that this delay was occurring was that Keith was helping to console the ginger. Pico definitely was nervous around others; it didn't take a genius to figure it out. The fact that he was planning to go to prom without the proper attire threw her for a loop. In fact, it probably would have made him even more hesitant to go with them if he saw his crush all dressed up and he wasn't. However, she knew that Keith would regret not dressing up to her expectations. This night needed to be perfect, and she will make sure that it goes smoothly.

The second way that they were delayed was the one that Darnell would find hilarious and believable to him. They actually confessed to one another, and they were, as Darnell would like to put it, "fucking" in the car right now. That was why they were so late. Cherry would have preferred this scenario verses Pico getting nervous and faltering on their date. Keith wasn't one to give up on something that he wants and especially loves. He is headstrong. She still remembers how honest he sounded when he confessed about his feelings about him to her. It sounded so genuine. So real. Hence why she was flabbergasted as to what was keeping him from jumping in headfirst and telling Pico how he feels. Well, not tonight.

Over the sound of the crowd around her, she faintly heard the clash of a door closing shut. Cherry jerked her head to the entrance of the cafeteria. The motion was so quick that it made her body twist in the same direction, forcing the taller male she was holding to turn with her lightly. Sapphire eyes caught the spotlighted glimpse of that unmistakable aquamarine colored hair walk through the doorway. Accompanying him was the smaller ginger, together. She managed to catch sight of their hands entwined as Keith held open the door for them to walk through. Sadly, this was short lived. As soon as they entered into the school, they seemed to separate that hold almost unanimously.
