"Ready to go?" Louis asks, smiling. I nod, and take his outstretched hand. He leads me out to his car, and he opens the passenger door for me. This is the first date you we've been on since he got back from tour, and I'm excited. Nervous even, I have a small amount of butterflies in my stomach. As far as I'm aware, we were going out to some fancy restaurant for dinner, which was fine with me. The car ride was only a short distance from the flat, and I spent it listening to Louis talk about the tour. I couldn't help but smile, seeing his eyes light up when he talks about the boys and performing.
When we arrive at the restaurant, he opens my door like the gentleman he is, and compliments me on how wonderful I look that evening.
"Why thank you Mr.Tomlinson" I reply, with a smile.
"You're welcome, I don't think that there's enough hours in the day for me to describe how ravishing you look." He says, tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear. I quickly peck his cheek, and he escorts me into the restaurant. We spend the evening eating italian pasta and laughing at old memories.
"Remember the time we had the food fight at your house?" Louis asks, a smirk playing on his lips.
I let out a laugh, " How can I not? I was grounded for weeks after that!". I smile to myself, thinking fondly of the memory. The two of us sit and reminisce for a while longer over chocolate cake and steamy coffee, probably laughing a little too loud.
"Are you ready for the final outing of the evening?" He asks, surprising me.
"I thought dinner was it...?" I respond, unsure of what adventure is coming.
"Well babe, you thought wrong." He winks at me, takes my hand and pulls me out of the booth. Once again, we're back in the car, driving to somewhere only Louis know, but I wanted to find out. By now it was dark outside, and the moon was glowing brightly, lighting the deserted road. The only sound was the hushed radio, which was playing on old rock song that I didn't quite recognize. Both you and Louis were enjoying the serenity of the moment, and you felt composure. Louis hand rested gently on my knee, and I just liked the feeling of knowing he was there. I gazed out the window, taking in the surroundings. Honestly, I'm quite sure what we were doing here, it was the middle of nowhere.
Slowly, the car pulled to a stop. Louis patted my leg, and exited the car. I followed shortly after, but the moment I stepped put of the vehicle it was as if I was in a trance. I gazed up, and were totally captivated. In that moment, you felt so small. Looking up at the billions and billions of stars, I realized what a small fraction of the universe I am, and how much is really out there. Louis slowly taps on my shoulder, and I turn around to see a blanket set up, complete with candles and cookies.
"Do you like it?" He whispered, smiling. I couldn't even fathom that he had done all this for you.
"I love it." I say, hugging him tightly.
"Well, let's enjoy the scenery shall we?" He asks, and I nod.
We spend the rest of the night lying on the blanket, eating cookies and pointing out my favourite constellations.
