Mimi's flesh crawled as Kunemon crawled around the trees in the jungle to peer at her. If only Palmon were here. She would use her Poison Ivy attack and get rid of all the creepy bugs.
"If Tentomon and Palmon aren't here, I don't know where they would be." Izzy said. The jungle was the best place for the insect and plant Digimon they had come to love.
Suddenly, BlackGatomon jumped and puched a red and black ladybug looking Digimon to the ground.
"Ow! What was that for? Oh, now my head hurts!" The Digimon gasped in pain, putting his two claw like arms to his head.
"Tentomon!" Izzy gasped. Tentomon looked up and started buzzing around. He flew into Izzy's arms.
"Izzy! Oh, it's been so long! I almost didn't recognize you!" Tentomon joked. He was a jokster.
"Mimi!" Someone called. Mimi whirled around and saw Palmon. She began to cry as she ran towards her partner and hugged her tightly.
"Oh, Palmon, I'm so glad to see you!" Mimi cried.
"I missed you, Mimi." Palmon said, drawing back from the hug.
Suddenly, a sound like something screeching filled the air. A giant red Digimon with black markings and two giant pincers flew around in circles above their heads.
"Oh no, it's Kuwagamon!" Caitlin cried. BlackGatomon jumped in front of her to protect her.
Kuwagamon rushed them, making them all jump to the side, covering their heads with their hands.
"We have to do something!" Caitlin shouted.
"I can't digivolve!" BlackGatomon cried worriedly.
Kuwagamon snapped it's pincers and charged Izzy and Mimi. Both of them ducked and cowered in fear.
Suddenly, bright lights blasted from Izzy and Mimi's digivice. Palmon and Tentomon were practically glowing with energy.
"Palmon digivolve to..."
"Tentomon digivole to..."
The two formed together to make one Digimon. This Digimon was a golden color. It looked like a beetle with a link beaded necklace. It had a white sumo belt with gold words written on the flag part. In its arms were little weapons with two curved points on either side of a wicked point on both sides. "Kongoumon!"
Kuwagamon charged Kongoumon. Kongoumon intercepted it with an attack. "Power Slapping!" He took the weapons in his hands and slapped Kuwagamon mercelessly. To finish off the big bug, he cried, "Multiple Arm Bombs!" The weapons in his hand exploded, turning Kuwagamon into bits of data.
"You did it!" Mimi cheered. She hugged Palmon once she had degenerated from Kongoumon.
"That was so cool!" Izzy admitted, hugging Tentomon.
"Izzy!" Someone shouted. Izzy, Caitlin, and Mimi turned to see the rest of the group running up to them.
"You found them!" Kari smiled.
"You found your partners!" Caitlin grinned.
Suddenly, Gatomon and BlackGatomon ran up to each other. They looked at each, looking around the other one. They each did a pose, the other one mocking like a mirror image.
"You're just like me!" Gatomon gasped.
"You're nothing like me." BlackGatomon hissed. She narrowed her yellow eyes at the Doppelganger of herself.
Gatomon looked surprised. How could a Gatomon-species be so mean?
Caitlin picked up BlackGatomon and patted her head. Kari picked up Gatomon and snuggled her. "It's all okay." They said in unison.
Meanwhile, two shadow figures stood in Lapis's room. The taller, more human shadow was standing over Lapis. The shorter one was standing over Wanyamon.
Sora entered the room with a bowl of soup. Once she saw the shadows, which had now taken shape, she screamed. Shocked, the two figures disappeared.
Who were they? Sora thought. And what did they want with Lapis and Wanyamon?
