Plot:

Driven into a trance of madness, Magnus Andry follows the voices in his head to discover a secret buried for years. However, he is never alone. With his twin sister Mallory at his side, they embark on a new adventure in their lives. To their parents' horror, a new phoenix is born, tethered to the twins. When Magnus ascends to the high throne of Zoshan, he does so with a new strength and power he didn't have before. But there are more secrets he has yet to discover, including the journals locked in away in a trunk that tell of the past, present and future from someone he has long forgotten. Desperate to keep himself from destroying the realm his parents worked so hard to rebuild, Magnus searches for answers despite those that wish to keep him in the dark. With the additional help of Mallory's new friend, the trio study the history to save their future. But there is a dark secret hiding in plain sight, one Magnus is blind to, and it may bring the realm crumbling at his feet.
Magnus will discover a bond much greater than the bond he created with his sister. Mallory will find herself stepping into the light to protect those who can't protect themselves. A commodore will discover the lengths one must go to protect the seas. A brother will fight to save his lost sister, and a performer will be forced to flee the only life she has ever known. The realm of Zoshan has changed as a new generation step forward into the light. When the fire descends, within the flames walks The Phoenix King.
