The virus.

The discovery

2 years passed since the outbreak of the zombie virus and they were camps everywhere. The virus turned world wide. You couldn't leave a camp without seeing a zombie. The kids now we're getting trained At the age of 5. Madison, Alyssa, and Will were in the same camp along with many other people. In the camp They were guards keeping watch, people coming back from the outside, people training, people teaching the kids. Needless to say the camps were always busy. 

Alyssa walked up to Madison, Alyssa was wearing her uniform. Her hair was short, down, and really curly. On her uniform she had a yellow stripe indicating that she worked with anything scientific.

Madison wore the same exact uniform but had a red strap on her uniform indicating she was specialize in hand to hand combat and fighting. Her hair was long and curly.

Will wore the same uniform but had a blue stripe on his uniform indicating that he was a person specialized in maps. He'd lead the people that would go outside the camps, he'd also memorize and draw the safe places and how to get them. Basically a map maker.

Madison was training with a sword when Alyssa walked up behind her.

"hey have you seen will"? Alyssa asked.

"Why would I know where he is"? Madison replied.

"Because he's your boyfriend duh". Alyssa laughed slightly.

Madison put the sword away turning to look at Alyssa.

"Never mind I'll find him". She said turning around about to walk away when Madison spoke up.

"Wait" she said. "Today is the anniversary, isn't it" Madison said in a soft voice.

Alyssa turned to look at Madison and nodded slowly.

"You know I've lost count of the days after the first 8 months after it happened, it feels like things are never going to get better of be the same". Madison said. "But we will find a cure". She added then hugged Alyssa, Alyssa returned the hug then let go.

"I gotta find will" Alyssa said.

"I'll help look you take one part of the camp I'll take the other part" Madison said before both of them walked off.

Alyssa found will in the back of some containers, he was making out with another girl in Madisons unit.

Alyssa's eyes widened.

"Will"?! Alyssa said loudly.

Will and the girl who's name was Lily quickly separated.

" it's not what it looks like" he said in a panic.

"Really cause it looked like you were kissing a girl who is definitely not madi"! She said in disbelief.

"Please donot tell madi, this only happened once please"! He begged.

"I won't tell her cause you will, I'll give you by tomorrow "! She said then walked away.

What will, Alyssa, and Lily didn't know is that madison was standing there silently watching then walked away before they could noticed she was there.

Alyssa walked into the lab. She was looking over her fathers notes hoping to find something she didn't see before. She knew it was hopeless , she's been looking over the notes for 2 years straight so why was she still even standing there waisting her time.

Alyssa started to cry then screamed in rage and knocked over everything on the table. One of Mr Salvatore's research papers fell on an LED light revealing writing that was written in invisible ink.

Alyssa saw the ink then wiped her tears and grabbed all the papers putting them over the LED lights. Some of the papers had hidden writing in a code.

Alyssa smiled.

"Dad your a genius" she said to herself as she grabbed a paper and copied down the code.

Alyssa knew everyone blamed her dad for starting the virus and it was true but this was her chance to fix everything, to get everyone back to normal. To get her dad back to normal and although she didn't understand the code she knew it had something to do with the cure. She knew she was one step closer to saving everyone who was effected by the cure. She knew the 2 perfect people to help her decode the code her father left behind. She was determined to get her father back. By any means necessary.
