Chapter 1 - The Wedding (Part 1) [Unedited]

Here I am, looking at myself in the mirror for the hundredth time and wondering whether I look good in it or not.

"Don't worry dear, you look beautiful." Martha said for the third time since she arrived here to help me. Martha is my house keeper and also like a mother to me. After my mother died when I was 7, Martha looked after me like her own.

"But don't you think something is missing? I feel like there is something missing here. I just don't know what it is." I tell Martha after a while.

"Oh honey, It's okay to be nervous. You are just scared about what Matt's gonna say. And believe me honey, he will not be able to keep his hands off you." Martha says after winking at me.

Well, my name is Ariel Johanna. A 19 year old teenager who is about to marry the love of her life, Matt Price. Matt is 24 years old and is my best friend since high school. He was a substitute teacher when I met him for the first time at Dawn Valley High School.

I still remember the first time I met him.

~*~ Flashback ~*~

" Irena, I think we are gonna miss our first period. Please hurry up!"

"Just a moment, let me figure out where my notes are. I stayed up till 2 last night just to write them."

"Well hurry up. Today is the first day of this new substitute teacher since Mrs. Puffet has left for her vacation. Oh Lord, thank you for this day! You have blessed us with your grace."

"Oh Ariel, how can you manage to be so dramatic? Now hurry up. I think I'll miss this period. I have to write these notes all over again before Mr. Blake's period. Okay i'll catcha later. Bye Ariel" And right on the cue the period bell rings leaving me horrified and with a disappeared Best Friend.

"Irena! Wait! Stop!" And right before I could follow her I run in to someone hard. Hard enough to make me fall a feet away.

"I'm really sorry. Please forgive me." I say to the figure in front of me without looking up, Jeez. Can I be any more clumsier? Right on cue, I fall again. But this time the person whom I crashed into really hard is by my side.

"Are you ok?" said a very deep voice. Can this day get any better?

"I'm good down here. I mean I-I" And with that, i was lost in those Charcoal black eyes. Those mesmerizing eyes hidden behind black nerdy glasses. His hair was all over the place. Hmm. I'd love to touch them.

"Hey, seriously. Are you ok?" said the Greek god in front of me.

"Oh I-I'm S-Sorry. Uhh I was actually, Uhh g-going to class." I stutter. Great! I just love myself right now. But this was enough to make the greek-god in front of me to smirk and I thought I saw a spark of amusement in those charcoal eyes.

"Don't you think you're late for your class Ms..."

"JOHANNA"

"Uhh. My name is Ariel Johanna" With the little self respect left within me, I grab my things and run.

"Hey!" He called out to me but I ran for my dear life just in time to realize that the teacher was not here. Phew! Thank you lord.

"Hey! Ariel. Oh My God, have you been exercising? You look like a frikkin baloon"

"Good morning to you too Anna."

"Seriously? Why do you look so fat? Anyways, GUESS WHAT. I heard that the new substitute teacher is a hottie. Everyone is talking about him and where is Irena? Is she making out in the Library again? Oh did you know that Zac wants to go out with you-"

"ANNA STOP!"

"But Zac and you.You both would make the best couple and then when he kisses you-"

"Anna. Stop right there. Stop with the talks about Penis, do you know how gross it is? I mean you've basically told me who happens to have the biggest penis on campus-"

"Ariel-"

"LET ME FINISH. You have basically asked me to sleep with Zac since eight grade-"

"Arielll"

"And then you have also made me go to parties and I never complained-"

"Ari-"

"But I will never forget the night you got me drunk and I made out with Jeremy, Well that was amazing and-"

"ARIEL-"

"What?" By now, I realized that the whole class is staring at me with an expression of shock all over their faces.

"Was I too loud?" I asked my best friend, Anna who looks like she saw a ghost.

"Turn Around"

Then I realized what they were staring at and why Anna looked that scared.

"Good Morning class! Please take your seats if you're done with your gossip" says the man i bumped into a while ago wearing an expression that I would term Oh-I-Will-Kill-You-Any-Minute.

This made me smile and kill a little bit of the nervousness . LITTLE.

"Did you read the Vogue-" I turn around to see Anna, Natalie and Irena walking in with their mouth open at my sight.

"Hi." I say shyly to my best friends. Gosh I've missed them. Anna walks in followed by a very pregnant Irena following behind and Natalie helping her walk.

"Oh my god! Ariel, you look gorgeous!" This time Natalie spoke up making me smile.

"Thank you. But I feel like something is missing." I tell my best friends who are looking at me with admiration.

"You tell her dear, she does not listen to me and keeps complaining about something being missing" Martha tells them.

"Oh Ariel, you are just nervous. It's alright to feel nervous. I still remember how nervous I was before my wedding." Irena says tearing up a bit.

"If you call making the rest of us run around looking for your phone that day nervousness, then I think Ariel is perfectly normal" Anna replies causing us to laugh and hide it to avoid a scowling Irena.

"And you are ready." Martha says after making me wear the veil over my head. And this time when I look at my reflection, i gasp.

"Thank You Martha. You've made me look lovely"

"Lovely? Are you even serious? You look stunning Ariel" And we all turn around to find Kate smiling at us.

"Oh Kate! It's good to see you after such a long tome. Thank you for making it to my wedding." I say to one of the few friends I have.

"Ariel cupcake. Are you ready? It's time-" My father walks in and leaves his sentence hanging right there.

"Oh cupcake. You look beautiful. Just like your mother. She would be so proud of you." My father says.

"Thanks daddy." I say with a small smile on my face.

"Let's go daddy" Well. Here it goes.
