My family worshipped this demon that would give them riches, and in return, the demon would eat offspring's of almost every branch of the family. I was born into a family of women, and women only. My one and only brother broke this line of women, and he was the first male in 370 years. My brother was supposed to be offered to the demon, but the demon took a liking to him, especially because he had eccentric eyes.
I was born 7 years after he was born, and I too, had eyes two different coloured eyes. When I was born, I was supposed to be offered to the demon as well. I was spared thanks to my brother asking the demon to spare me, and because I had heterochromia.
It was filthy, the place I was born. Me and nii-san were locked up in what looked like prison cells, and we had to shared a cell, due to every offspring being killed. I actually didn't mind, it was better that way.
