{Chapter 14}
Melinda woke up on the floor as she didn't trust sleeping on the bed. She saw a giant red stain on the sheets making her think it was blood. The door to the room opened and Ward walked in with anger written on his face. Melinda groaned as she tried to stand up the best she could due to her injuries. Ward stared at her before pulling out a gun at her making her eyes widened, "We are going to try this again. Let me be with Daisy or else you get shot."
Melinda winced as she stood up and looked at him with a serious expression. He aimed the gun at her abdomen as she prepared to tell him, "Daisy couldn't handle being with you anymore and she didn't want you to hurt her, so she asked me to lie to you, telling you that I don't want you with my daughter. It is not technically a lie but I told you that so you wouldn't go after her-" Melinda was cut off by her head shooting to the side as Ward had backhanded her on the spot where one of his goons sliced her skin with knives. She sighed and looked at him in the eyes again. She was going to say something when one of the goons ran in, "The BAU is here!"
Ward growled and turned back to Melinda, who was sighing in relief, knowing the team was coming. He held the gun up and aimed it at her forehead, "How did they know where I was? Did you manage to find a way to tell them?" She shook her head hastily, "No! I swear!" Ward didn't believe her and aimed the gun down at her abdomen. He shot her making her groan in pain and gasp as she placed her hand over the wound.
Ward then kicked her making her fall to the side, clutching her wound. Ward turned to his goons, "Leave her here to die. This will be a surprise for Daisy and her team." The goon then added, "There's one more thing, sir. SHIELD is also here." Melinda's eyes slightly widened as Ward cursed before walking out of the room and closed the door leaving her alone to die. Melinda felt tears well up in her eyes as she didn't want to die, and especially didn't want to leave Daisy just yet.
She hoped that the teams found her soon.
Novice Agent
The BAU and SHIELD both arrived at the abandoned building and prepared to go inside. Everyone put on bullet proof vests and grabbed guns. Aaron and Daisy were very nervous and scared on how this was all going to go. Spencer then came up with an idea and looked at everyone on the team, "I have an idea but it is probably a bad one." Aaron looked at him sternly, "What do you have?" Spencer looked at Daisy with a 'i'm sorry' look, making her confused.
He sighed and gestured to the building, "There's no way we can get into that building without keeping Ward occupied. If we send in Daisy telling him that she wants to be with him, we can go in and save May." Phil brought his hand to his chin, "It could work, however, once we are in there's no going back. Distract him and get to May as soon as you guys can, got it?" Everyone nodded as they prepared for this. Daisy sighed to herself before walking into the building as everyone went around back to get to Melinda. She walked into a massive room and seen Ward and a few of his men looking into something.
