Mitchel and his squad stayed in the castle for the rest of the night. When morning arrived, the squad brought their vehicles at the castles entrance to pick up the rest of the squad along with Piña and Bozes. As the vehicles parked, Lance exited the jeep and told Mitchel that the commander has allowed them to bring them in. Mitchel nodded, entered, and sat on the front passenger seat. As he looked around, he realized that the tarp has been rolled up. He asked Lance who had just entered saying that the princess and her friend would be riding with them and they could get a good view of the base. Karl and Dimitry would be staying on Half-track for now so that there would be room for their newfound friends. Mitchel nodded and ordered to head out. Mitchel's squad waved goodbye and soon were on the road.
As they drove back to base, Piña had a worrying face thinking on what to talk about while Bozes was looking around, curious about the thing they were riding which was going at such a fast speed. A few minutes have passed and they were near Alnus. Bozes told Piña that they are already close to Alnus which surprised her because she did not notice how fast they have been traveling. As they got closer, the creatures they saw before showed themselves once more with an army walking the fields, carrying some strange staff. Piña asked if every soldier of this USRA use magic or are wizards of some sorts. Lelei answered her saying no, it is not magic for these things are called "guns" or "rifles". She continued to explain that they put a form of explosive powder inside a cylindrical device with a sharp spike in front of it and making it shoot the spike at great distance. Piña asked if every soldier is allowed to use them, with Lelei saying yes and that they have mastered the technique of making them and creating different forms. That is why the Imperial Army was defeated. Hearing such thing, Piña realized that this army fights war differently preferring range combat and being in safe distance. As she ponders on this realization, her mind was once more distracted by the rumbling sound. As she looked at Lelei's side, she could see new creatures made of steel of different sizes. First, there were steel Pegasuses, and now steel elephants and horses. Piña now asked why they were even here. "The empire stepped on the gryphon's tail," Lelei said. Bozes replied by telling her to watch her mouth especially on the current state of the Empire but her words does not concern her, she is a nomad. "Even if we can take over a country, we can never change the peoples' heart," Piña said to herself as she watches these steel horses and elephants going their separate ways in the field.
As they arrived at base parking near one of the buildings that has the flag of USR and disembarking, Piña asked Mitchel if he had a moment. "Sorry your highness but I need to take care of the situation with high command and such," Mitchel replied, "Lance and Denis can take care of everything since he can understand and speak your language. Adios." With that said, Mitchel ran off leaving Lance and Denis which pissed them off in a way. Lance, who was near Piña, translated what Mitchel said but she already understood once he started running. Denis, knowing that he doesn't want to deal with this, quickly went off somewhere to rest, leaving Lance in charge.
Back in Magadan, Werbell got the news that princess Piña and her friend Bozes have arrived at their base from the other side and wants to "apologize". Seeing an opportunity he ordered a conference to be held and asked the commander on the other side if they are willing to attend. Additionally, the media from different OFN countries have been begging for an interview with the soldiers and even the locals from the other side. Now that everything is falling into place, they will soon have their chance.
Meanwhile on the other side Piña and Bozes managed to sit down with the commanding officer of USR in Alnus. Lelei was their translator while Lance assisted her on words that she may not understand and to make sure that there wouldn't be any miscommunication. Since she wanted to put her understanding of English to the test, now is a perfect opportunity. As they discussed about what happened the commanding officer slightly laughed as he forgave them for the minor incident saying, "It's normal for a woman to slap a man especially when they act in such a rude way, even if they wear their uniform." As both parties were about to stand up, a soldier entered the room and they were in saying that Werbell requested if they would want to enter into their world for an interview and left. Piña asked what that was all about to which Lelei translated back to her saying that the people of the USR wanted to ask her some questions. This made her feel anxious, wondering what kind of questions she would be asked about. However, she bottled them up and nodded ready for anything they might ask and probably seeing an opportunity to end this war and show their people that they aren't barbarians.
As the news reached Mitchel, the feeling of burned and pressure falls on him like a bag of bricks. He has the opportunity to head back and have a proper R&R but also has to protect Piña and Bozes while they are there for the conference. Also seeing an opportunity, he asked Tuka if she wants to go with him and his squad back to their world for only two days since Lelei is going with them as an interpreter. Hearing this outside, Rory opened the door peeking out asking if she too could join and so did the wizard and Lelei's mentor. Seeing this, Mitchel begrudgingly agreed and stayed up almost all night working on the list of people and waiting for the approval. As he was about to get up from the office table the officers provided, he heard a door open and saw Lelei. He asked her if there's something wrong, she only asked him to bring her back to camp. Mitchel brought her to his jeep and drove back to the camp and tucked her to sleep. Seeing that he too was tired decided to sleep on the floor beside her bed, ignoring how uncomfortable and hard the wall was behind him.
On another room, Piña and Bozes discussed about Piña's decision. She assured Bozes. Additionally, she knew that their cultures are far different and she doesn't know what they were fighting for and the only way to know is going to the conference.
The next day, Mitchel and his squad were on their vehicles and alongside with them was Piña and Bozes near the gate. As they waited for the security to finish checking the documents that Mitchel acquired, and for their turn to enter the gate and return into their world, Mitchel took the opportunity to check on his other companions. Looking back on his jeep, he could see that his friends were doing all right as they always do, but farther back where Tuka, Lelei and Rory, sitting together along with Piña and Bozes on the other side. Mitchel stepped out of the jeep and walked towards the back to check on how they were doing. "Excuse me, sir Mitchel. Why must we wear such thick clothing?" asked Lelei, "Well, the weather where we come from is cold and might get you sick, and so you have to wear them," Mitchel replied with Lelei giving him a nod. "You two all good?" Mitchel asked while giving a thumbs up at Piña and Bozes who were sitting on the opposite side. Confused by the gesture but understanding a bit of what Mitchel meant, she gave him a thumbs up while looking confused. Seeing this, he nodded and returned back to his seat and continued to wait. "Good to see that you're somewhat learning," Lance said to break the silence in the vehicle. "It's a rough start but I'm slowly learning," Mitchel replied. "You sure you want to bring them too? It seems they might cause trouble, especially Rory, also wasn't Lelei's mentor supposed to go with us?" Lance asked Mitchel while looking back at them. "Don't worry, they're my responsibility too. Besides, we don't want her going crazy around here, and for the old man, sadly they denied his request." Mitchel replied assuring him. After a while of waiting, security returned with their papers allowing them to pass through the gate. As they drove through the gate, Piña straightened and prepared herself for the other side, Russia.
