My dearest Amber,

It has been too long since we last saw each other. I remember walking through the Monstadt gates through the first time, the face of everyone around looking frightened or angry with me. I knew my family had a rotten past; one I prefer not to be associated with.

Until I met you, the only interactions I'd had were bitter and fearful.  You were the first person to treat me as my own person; Not as a Lawrence, but as Eula. Even after I made it clear whom I was associated with, your luminescent smile continued to show for me.

I still remember the first time I saw that smile. It was my first day in Monstadt- one full of spiteful looks and unpleasant interactions. I was waiting in line for the Good Hunter when you first came up to me. Your brown hair was in a long braid with flowers weaved into it; it made you look even more beautiful than a regular first impression one would get from you. You introduced yourself, even though others in line informed you of my heritage. You simply smiled and told them to give me a chance. It was right there and then were people actually believed I could be kind-- and it's all because of you.

After a few minutes of casual talk, I asked what they occasion was for your hair.

"Oh! Collei just wanted to style it, so I gathered some flowers, and she went all out!" you giggled. I couldn't help but hide my reddened cheeks at your sweet laughter. You told me about you and Collei's adventures, promising to introduce us later.

Those first few hours spent with you sightseeing in Monstadt are ones I shall never forget. Your cheerful attitude, your random facts, everything about you made me feel as if I had hope for a friend. Sure, at first glance we may seem like polar opposites, but I'm sure we were destined to meet. You showed me your favorite spot in the Whispering Woods before you fell into my lap for a nap. I was sitting against a tree, studying its interesting blooms and wondering how such a lovely place could possibly allow my presence. Suddenly, I felt a soft thud in my thighs; There you were, sound asleep. There was thing feeling in my chest, one that I cannot seem to put a name on, but it was one I had never felt before. Every time I read your letters, that feeling pops up again. I believe this feeling is called "love".

Once you awoke, you invited me to stay over in your quarters; It was small, but it seemed as if it was made for two. Everything from then on was a routine of that warm feeling and joyous memories. The people of Monstadt have been much kinder to me since you inspired them to.

Thank you.

I love you,

Eula.
