Will It Happen?!

confronting the truth!!

It was a sunny evening in the beaches of California, Lily surfing along the tides was suddenly lost in thoughts.

In the classroom:
It was 12 in the noon, students rushing to have lunch. "Hey! Lily, what are you sketching there??! " Leena asked. There was no answer from Lily... Leena moved forward and peeped silently, and it's Lily herself surfing 🏄 .

Leena questioned to Lily "don't you hate surfing, then,why are you sketching this? And did you explain to your father that you aren't interested in surfing instead you wanna become an artist".

Lily's hand started shaking and pressed the pencil against the paper,lead broke, tears started rolling on Lily's cheek yet she uttered no word.

Leena was completely confused, she thought it would be good to console Lily instead of questioning her for now. Leena tried to comfort Lily by patting on her head.

Lily in a sad tone said " I really want to tell my father that I love sketching but yesterday... I saw a doctor's description in my father's coat pocket" (Her voice slowly slowed down), " What was it in the description " Leena asking in curiosity,
Lily replied "he is suffering from pneumonia, I saw him coughing from past 3 weeks and asked him to consult a doctor. He didn't say to me anything about his sickness. Leena you very well know that my father is everything to me, I lost my mother when I was 5 . My father has never said no to me, he would give me anything I ask for, now if I go say him that I wanna become an artist, it's like saying no to his words. I don't want to do anything that hurts him. "

"I understand you Lily, I just wanted you to pursue your dream but it's upto you what you choose" Said Leena.

In the dinning hall:
Then both went to have their lunch.

"Lily it's Jack" Leena whispered in Lily's ear. "Lily come sit here"said Jack.

Who is Jack??

Jack and Lily met in a park when they were 5 years old.

Let's go into the flashback:

Oneday, Lily was sitting on a swing and crying, Jack went to her and asked " Why are you crying?what is your name? ".
Lily said " I am Lily"
Jack asked again " Why are you crying Lily? "
Jack saw Lily holding a necklace having her mother's picture in the pendant. "Is that your mother? She looks so pretty", Lily replied " But now she left me and went. "
Jack asked "where? ", Lily said " To God."
Jack was a very smart boy and too kind, he understood that Lily is in sorrow, he comforted her. After few minutes Lily was feeling okay and they both started playing in the park. As Lily was a kid she soon forgot her pain and also the love that her father gave made her to adjust to the things she had.
They grew up together and infact Lily's father wanted her to become a surfer as he was inspired by Jack.
Jack loved surfing and he was good at all activities.

Back to the present:

"Lily why are you sad? " Asked Jack
Leena said " You know it all! ", " Is it about your career again?"Jack to confirm.
Lily nodded, " Stop thinking about it too much and eat now " Jack said by rubbing Lily's hand.

"It's not only that, her father is suffering from pneumonia and it can't be cured" Said Leena.
" Don't worry, take him to a good doctor, if u need any help feel free to ask " Said Jack. " I am going to surf later would you like to join me? " Jack asked , " Yeah! I will come maybe that would make me feel better " Replied Lily.

While returning home after surfing, Lily noticed a memo on the road, she picked it up and saw that there was a international surfing competition held by 'California surfing competition'. It was also given that the first 3 winners would get a price of 1000 $ . Lily thought that she can win this and pay for her father's operation, and by this way she would also fulfil her father's dream.

In school:

"Jack!! Wait, see this " Said Lily,
Jack read the memo and asked " This is amazing Lily, shall we take part?" , " Yes jack, I want to win 1000$ and use it for my father's medicine and operation expenditure " Lily said.

Jack knows Lily is good in surfing but she needs more training and practice to win the competition.

" Then let's start to practice from today and I will help you too " Jack said.

It was only 10 days and Lily has to be perfect in surfing, she left the school early and went to surf along with Jack.

Lily had a lot of confidence and soon learnt all the ticks in surfing and was ready for the competition.

Last 2 days:

Lily was nervous and tensed and walking from left to right in the living hall. Cling..!cling..! The door bell ringed, Lily opened the door and it was Jack.
" Hi Jack, why are you here? "Asked Lily, " I know you would be in tension that is why I am here to calm you. " Said Jack.

Finally:-

It was the big day, the California beach was filled with people holding their surf board. It was soon evening and just 30 mins to go.

The competition time was announced and participants were ready

The gun shot in air and counted 3..2..1 GO..!

Everyone were very curious to see who wins, Lily's father was very eager to see his daughter winning.
Lily along the tides looked like a rising dolphin.

In the sunny evening along the tides, suddenly Lily was lost in her thoughts, she now understood that Jack was the one who always stayed by her side right from the age of 5 and until now... She now along with her dream of becoming an artist also wanted to hold Jack's hand forever and stay by his side until her last breathe.
All of a sudden a big wave rose, Lily cleared her thoughts and wide opened her eyes..

Was it too late or will she break through the wave and win the competition?? Will she confess to Jack?
Does Jack love anyone else? Would he accept Lily?

Is Lily giving up on her dream?!!
