Are You My Soulmate? (One shot)

Soulmate

It was one rainy day Addison Montgomery was walking to an empty apartment because her fiance was at work. She was in deep thought, until she bumped into someone. "Oh I'm so sorry" She said. Until she looked up and saw a blonde staring at her deeply. "Don't worry about it, it's alright" The blonde said. "I'm Meredith by the way"

"Meredith, I'm Addison" Addison smiled. She couldn't help but be attracted emotionally towards the woman besides her.

"So Addison, what brings you to walk in the rain and bump into a random stranger?" Meredith suddenly pulls her out of her thoughts. "Oh I was just walking home from work, my fiance just called me and told me he had to go to work, so now I have to walk." She mentioned. When Addison turned and looked at Meredith, she saw Meredith spinning a set of keys in her hand. "Well Addison, I have my car just right across that corner, would you like a ride?" Meredith asked nicely.

"I don't want to intrude your privacy, don't-" She was suddenly interrupted by the blonde. "Addison, don't worry, I'm offering, plus I don't think my boyfriend will mind giving us a ride to your home" Addison agreed and they both went into the car. "Hey Finn, this is Addison- Addison this is Finn my boyfriend." Meredith introduced them. "Finn, Addison has no ride back home so I offered to take her, is that okay?"

"Yeah, no problem, where should I head now?" He agreed.

"Oh um, we are going to the apartments around the corner, I live there." Addison couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. "We also live there, or well I do Finn just stays over a lot." Meredith turned back to look at Addison and smiled, the she continued, "It's good to know that we live in the same apartments." With that Addison only smiled and they stayed in an uncomfortable silence all along.

When they got to the apartments, both Meredith and Addison headed to their home and they noticed that they were actually neighbors. They were confused because they never saw each other. When Addison got to her apartment, she heard noises from her shared bedroom with her fiance. Moaning. In that moment Addison couldn't help but feel scared for what was about to happen. When she got close to her bedroom door, she opened it and saw her fiance with another woman. He never noticed Addison standing there and leaving the apartment.

Meredith couldn't help but start to feel sad and angry all of a sudden. She was thinking that maybe something happened at Finn's workplace. You know because soulmates feel each others emotions, or so she thought she had the right person.

Addison was outside her apartment door, so she went to Meredith's and knocked on the door. When Meredith opened the door she saw how Addison was crying and there was mascara running down her eyes. She couldn't help but feel emotions towards her. Her green bluish eyes were red, those ocean eyes don't deserve pain Meredith thought. Meredith let Addison in into her apartment and took her to the couch. They talked and talked all night, letting Addison let out her emotions. Meredith felt angry and protective over Addison. She wanted to go over her fiance, or now ex-fiance, and punch him in the face for hurting such a beautiful soul.

Since that day, Meredith and Addison became inseparable. They went for lunch together everyday, even if they couldn't because of their job, they tried to make it up to each other. They also noticed that they worked in the same hospital, Seattle Grace. Meredith was a neurosurgeon and Addison was an OB/GYN and neonatal surgeon. It's been three months since the break up between Addison and her fiance. Addison discovered that her fiance was never her soulmate and in fact he cheated with his soulmate. Finn also broke up with Meredith, because he found who was truly his soulmate, however, he didn't cheat and he talked about with Meredith responsibly and honestly. In all honesty, Meredith felt relief and she felt happy for him.

Now Addison and Meredith decided to never look for their soulmates. They decided to let faith bring them to them. They both moved in together because they felt those strong emotions towards each other that they couldn't explain. But they didn't say that to each other, they agreed to do it for work purposes. However, one day Addison noticed Meredith's mark on her wrist and couldn't stop thinking about it ever since.
