"Maybe it will get better" she said. But she just shook her head in denial, and said "No, things...they could get better but remember how dad would always say 'maybe' to things we asked?" The little girl nodded her big blue eyes looking up at Sarah, she continued. "Maybe...always means no, we've learnt that through the years, when dad said maybe it meant 'no'" Sarah looked down at her little sister, a tear trickling down her face, she watched it fall to the concrete floor of the playground. It shattered into a million pieces, and she acted like nothing had happened. She sniffles and Michelle, looked up, her eyes reaching into Sarah's soul, grabbing her heart and holding it in front of her.
"Do you think mom and dad, will ever get back together?" A frown drooped onto Sarah's lips, looking up at the cloudy sky she replied with a faint, mumble. "Maybe."
