Mirage stood at his bar which was empty, the only thing that was keeping it somewhat entertaining was the clones of himself that were walking around and chatting amongst themselves. If anything, it would be pretty depressing to talk to one of the clones considering it will only just talk to him about things he already knows but at the same time you weren't there. During the heights of the apex games his bar would be crowded with legends coming in to have a drink after successfully winning their games for the day and would use part of the prize money to unwind and overall just relax. Whenever Mirage himself would take part in the games he would always have a clone looking after the bar in order to just have it constantly open for anyone who just wants drinks and porkchops. The apex games were over for a couple of days now and Mirage himself has noticed a considerable lack of patrons at his bar.

He looked around his bar and stopped at a bulletin board filled with polaroid pictures of the bar's good old days when it was filled to the brim with people. He even had a picture of caustic without his mask and smiling for once in his life. He glanced over to another picture where octane fell and remembered that was the first time revenant let his guard down and everyone heard him laugh. Mirage smiled to himself as he missed those days but everyone had scattered doing their own thing. Everyone went into the apex games with separate goals, ambitions, and overall motives; the bar was a sort of safe haven for everyone because surely there were those who hated each other with a passion outside of the bar but have seem to have small conversations in the safety of the bar free from the judgement of the outside world and all of its regrets. Mirage of course had a favorite patron of his bar. The one who came in daily to keep him company no matter how slow or how busy the bar became to the point where it felt odd not seeing her sitting
He developed a crush on her and fell pretty hard for her when he once saved him from nearly dying in the apex games and for that he was in her eternal gratitude. She was the light to his day and the main reason why he would wake up and open the bar in the afternoon, but he wouldn't dare tell her because it just seemed like her determination to accomplish her goals outweighed anything else. In short, she seemed too busy to consider his feelings. He remembered the day she first found his bar, she wasn't too keen on drinking at first since she felt like she needed to keep her guard up constantly but slowly came to learn that this bar was a safe space for everybody no matter what they did in the apex games. She seemed to relax after that was explained and the softness that she displayed afterwards only when she was around Mirage was the thing that made his heart melt. Best to say he was heads over heels for her the minute she opened up a bit more about herself.

Her overall goals were rather vague and almost cliche, she just wanted to join the apex games because her city sent her to. Mirage didn't know if it was against her will or if she was accepting of wanting to join a bloodsport but he didn't feel like it was his place to ask. Overall, her score on the scoreboard per game was always superior and it gained her great respect. (Let's say in this apex legends is like laser tag and no one actually dies but when they get disqualified they "technically' are dead) She was praised, she was loved, she was everything that Mirage wanted in his life. By the end of the games she was head to head with revenant and ended up in a tie with him in terms of scores. The creator of the games called this a phenomenal event and had the two compete head to head in order to settle the score. In the end (y/n) won and from there was never seen again. There was a little part of Mirage that wished that he would've had to chance to confess his feelings with the riddling fear of being rejected, either way he knew what was at stake and he knew that if he did end up being rejected he wouldn't mind.

Mirage stared at the pictures that had (y/n) in it and sighed as he gently caressed the picture with just him and her.

"Where are you?" Mirage whispered sadly as he let his hand fall to his side
