‘’Finnick,’’ I whisper to myself. Finnick. That’s who you’re playing. That’s why you’re here. That’s why we are even talking. ‘’Actually, it’s Garrett, but thanks.’’ My new company laughs. I can’t help but blush; this kid’s got charm.
A tall figure, athletic build. No wonder why they cast him as Finnick. He’s particularly the only one for the role. Somewhere in our short conversation I find myself lost in his eyes.
‘’And you’re, Jen, right?’’ He smiles. I nod my head.
‘’Haha, yeah. I play Katniss.’’ I play Katniss. Duh, he already knows that.
‘’Can..Uhh, can I come in?’’ He asks, raising his eyebrows in hope.
‘’Well, ugh, it’s kind of a mess right now. But, sure.’’ I open the door a little bit more for him to take a look inside, and then I pull it open for him to enter. I start up the coffee maker and ask if he wants one. ‘’No thanks, I won’t be here long.’’
I take a seat across from his in an old, wooden chair with a red cushion. There’s something about this man…something different. But I can’t tell what.
‘’So I just came to meet you, to tell you that I’ll be playing Finnick. But I can see you already caught on.’’ When I realize he’s talking to me I drop my gaze from his eyes and pretend like I don’t care.
‘’Well, hi. Nice to meet you. I’m Jennifer Lawrence. I can see why they casted you as Finnick. Singled all the ugly guys out.’’ I joke to him as he laughs.
‘’Why, I thought I was kind of pretty.’’ He teases back, fixing the collar of his shirt.
We got a cocky one here. I laugh to myself. ‘’Have you met Josh Hutcherson yet? He is such a sweetheart!’’ I ask.
‘’No, not yet. I wanted to meet you first,’’ He says, displaying a dazzling smile. Woah, this kid can charm like Finnick. No wonder they chose him.
I can’t make him think I like him, because that’s what he wants. Shake it off. ‘’Well, you should see him. He’s only the funniest guy ever.’’ I reply with a slight laugh.
He looks away from me when he realizes his charm didn’t work. In attempt to be sure I didn’t notice, he gives me a smile. ‘’Well, it was nice meeting you. See you tonight!’’ He waves as he closes the door behind him.
When the door is shut, I pull out my phone as fast as I can and send a quick text to Josh that reads: Well, looks like we got our Finnick. I think he’s looking for you.
I sit back with a sigh for at least two minutes when my phone buzzes. The text from Josh reads: Really? Who is he?
As I read the text, I determine weather or not I should tell him. Finally, after five minutes, I think it’s best to hold it over his head and have him wait a while. I think you should just find out for yourself tonight.

When I’ve finished packing around 1:30, I figure I still have a couple hours until the dinner tonight, so I call up Josh and Liam.
‘’Josh, Liam and I are going to play some tennis out back. You coming?’’ I ask through the receiver on my cell.
‘’Yeah, wait outside your room.’’ He says, as he hangs up the phone.
Five minutes later, I find Josh, exciting a room on the left of mine. ‘’You’re room 317? I’m right next to you. Why didn’t you tell me?’’
