Stefan ran out of the Salvatore boarding house with a wooden stake that he had retrieved out of the cellar but is suddenly hit with a flashback of himself waiting on the doorstep of the old Salvatore estate. A carriage arrived in front of him. Emily Bennett exits the carriage first then Katherine exits the carriage and observes him for a moment as Stefan approaches her after Emily finished smoothing out Katherine's dress. "You must be Miss Pierce." Stefan smiles courteously as Katherine mischievously stares at him.

"Please, call me Katherine." The two stared at one another for a long second before Stefan snapped back from his mind and the events unfolded horrifically. Damon took off once he had lost Amy and Stefan stared as the people he loved the most both went their separate ways. He couldn't worry about Damon at that moment, he needed to follow Amy. She was wounded, severely. She needed medical attention and if anything. He could offer his blood to heal her.

"That was, definitely not what I intended," Erik said as he stood in the doorway of the Gilbert home. Emma stared at him with her hand against the door itself. "Are you going to be okay?" She nodded and glanced down. Her hands were shaking and Erik could see it. "I could stay?" He reached out and took her hand into his, comforting her. Emma raised her head again to look at him, her hand steadied in his grip.

"If Miranda or Grayson–"

"Sh. They won't know. I'll move my car and–"

"Erik..." He stepped closer to her.

"I'm not leaving you." He gripped her face into his hand and leaned forward to kiss her forehead. "I'll be back in a sec." Emma stared at him as he turned and disappeared into his car. A few seconds passed as the rev of the engine sounded and disappeared. Emma glanced behind her toward the stairs, her sister's door was pulled nearly shut but not entirely. As Emma debated with herself whether she should reject Erik's offer, he was back at the porch before she could talk herself into closing the door. "Do you wanna watch another movie?" Emma stopped and stared at him as he offered a hand to her. She took it, needily, and allowed him to comfort her. She shook her head and she pulled him toward the stairs. As they neared her room, she took in a shallow breath.

"I just–I just want you to hold me." Tears formed in Emma's eyes as she felt herself finally opening up to him. Letting herself feel emotional and let him see the side of her she tried to hide. Lifting both hands to the sides of her face.

"Hey, it's okay. It's me. I'll be here." He reassured her and pulled her into his arms before the two disappeared into her room. Amy lay quietly in her bed, her eyes rolling back as she attempted to keep herself awake. Her window was open and the chill of the air was cold. Emma and Erik had made sure she was tucked in and comfortable before they had left the room but no one ever even considered the dangers of leaving a window open. Amy swallowed but as she closed her eyes the sound of a wisp caught her attention and she reopened her eyes. Stefan peered down at her from above. Her eyes widened in horror as tears began to form.

"I'm not going to hurt you." He said softly as he leaned down next to her. "Are you okay?" Amy nodded, swallowing hard, she was still unable to speak very well. "Damon ran away." Stefan lifted his hand to her forehead and despite what had happened she couldn't decline his touch. "I was afraid he'd come after you, I'm glad he didn't." Amy attempted to sit up, and Stefan assisted her.

"I–I came home. Emma and Erik–" Her voice cut out as she furrowed her brows with her eyes closed.

"It's okay. You're still recovering, don't hurt your voice." Amy opened her eyes as a few tears fell.

"Your face." She said. Staring at him, he clenched his jaw.

"I know. That's what we do when we're hungry, or angry." Amy listened to him. "I will never hurt you. You are safe with me." He said gently and Amy nodded as he stroked her hair. "I'll tell you whatever you want to know but you have to promise me you won't tell anyone." Amy shook her head. "It's dangerous, Amy. You can't tell anyone. Knowing this can get you killed and not just you. Everyone you know would be in danger." His eyes conveyed the concern he had but Amy knew she wouldn't be able to keep the secret from everyone.
