My one dream was to go to an actual school and not be trapped alone in my house while my parents would teach me what 1+1 is.
I got what I wished for which I was happy about. I could finally meet new people and make friends. Being homeschooled for the most of my life, I fell in love with sports. I would watch it on TV. My favorite of all was hockey. I thought that one day I could learn how to ice skate.
My new school was a lot different than I expected. I expected everyone would be nice to the new kid. Turns out I was bullied for being homeschooled or not being "normal" like other kids. I was a little shorter than most kids so I was an easy target for bullies. Mostly physically so it didn't bother me that much because the kids were mostly weak. I mostly cared about the things they were saying.
My little brother got a bad case of the flu and my mother told me to get some special medicine. So I went to the mall. There were a bunch of other kids, about my age, roller skating around the whole mall. After I payed and got the medicine for my brother, I walked out of the store. I heard something and looked to the left and then I got thrown off my balance.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to do that. Are you okay?" Said a male voice. I looked up and it was a boy. He was wearing a helmet, a blueish purplish hoodie, black roller blades and a bunch of protective gear. I blinked a bunch of times. He looked like an angel.
"It's okay." I said. He reached his hand out and I grabbed ahold of it. "Thank you."
"My name's Fulton." The boy said.
"Mine is Aurora." I responded almost stuttering.
"Hey I like your name." He said. "Maybe you could hang with me and my friends."
"Sure. I'd love that. Is tomorrow okay?" I said happily.
"Yeah. Meet at the skating rink. We have hockey practice." He said.
"Okay. That's great I love hockey." I said.
"All right. See you around." Then he roller bladed away while stumbling along the way.
