Patience need to be practiced. They say patience is a virtue. When you lack patience, it is more like a paper being tossed around in the wilderness. There is no balance or a stand.
Having an undertstanding of this fact; that things can take some time is power. When you contain this power, you can control your emotions. Having control over your emotions is a weapon. When you have a weapon, there is nothing you cannot defeat that comes to your mind or way. When you are able to defeat circumstances with your power; you are a soldier and you can win at just anything. You can and will win in every area of your life.
A lack of patience causes destruction. A destruction steering up fear and anxiety. Fear and anxiety destroyers of walls, hearts and minds. A lack of patience is always about to discourage and downgrade everything. Discouraging and downgrading dreams and plans of a heart, due to delusions being set on ones mind out of fear, anxiety and insecurities.
Everything has its time, and things will never rush because our minds say so. There have to be work; effort applied unto something, and a period of wait for the results. Most of the problems we go through in our lives are due to a lack of patience. A denial or neglection to wait for things to work out on their perfect timing, in your favour is a weakness. A need to rush things is a pure weakness.
Comparison is another contributing factor to impatience. Comparing how soon an accomplishment is ought to be acquired; because Wesley did this: he got his first car at the age of 20; Kredura got married at the age of 23, and you are juat 27 without a car or marriage. Our elders say; just as our fingers are not the same height, so are human’s lives in regard to achievements and the speed for attaining various goals. This means that, you are never going to reach certain destinations at prescribed times as your fellows, or as you will. God’s will, not yours. It is your own race, and your achievements you will definetly attain, but not today or tomorrow because somebody just did. There is no manual to how you should live or when to acquire a property or degree or whatever it is in a lifetime.
The moment you begin the comparison, you open a door to anxiety, insecurity, fear and destruction to flow in. By this instance, your life becomes a mess, and you yield unto depression. This is all on your mind, in your impatience.
The word is teaching us that, God our creator knows the very plans he has for our lives even before we became who we are. He mend you together in your mother’s womb, knowingly what you will purpose on and achieve. He is a promise keeper, and we learn that his timing is perfect. Trust a powerful man, Almighty God who sees what is unseen to drive your life. What if a delay means protection from some damage that is upfront which you have no knowledge about? He is not slow in fulfilling a promise for your life. All his ways are straight, flawless and righteous.
Time has a tendency of perfecting situations.
You see, when you have patience, you perfectly understand that everything your heart desires, that is right and in alignment with God’s word but not for your evil plans; you will get. You know by heart that the same God that created you, has a perfect plan just for your life and did not create you to suffer. You also know that it is his will, and not your illusions. You will have then have patience and an amazing faith; knowing that what has been prepared for you before you were on this earth, nobody will ever take. You will be living in harmony, a heart filled with a beautiful peace from Jesus Christ, and moving mountains because you are more than a conqueror and you are strong.
