like best friends that act gay to be funny but they secretly both have feelings for eachother but anthony is repressing his feelings because he doesn't wanna be gay and have it ruin his reputation, a few years later brody moves away and comes out as bi in his new town. anthony sees a news article about a star hockey captain coming out as bi and then realizes it's brody. all his feelings come back and he realizes that he wasn't just pretending to be gay he really had feelings for him. he desparatly tries to reach out to brody but can't find out how so he takes his car and goes on a road trip to find brody while all his emotions and love are coming back after being repressed for so long. anthony gets to brodys hockey rink conveniently while they're in the middle of a game, he waits for the game to be over and when its over he watches brody go into the locker room and then runs after him. anthony places his hands on brodys sweaty face ignoring the horrid stench of hockey boy and confesses everything. brody confesses that he felt the same way and has always felt the same way and they passionately kiss after years of waiting for it to happen. anthony stays at brodys house for the week but eventually has to go home. they FaceTime every night and are always texting eachother. for two years straight this goes on, anthony sometimes takes trips to brodys and brody sometimes comes to anthony. by the time they're both 18 anthony moves to live with brody so brody can continue being the star hockey player of the town. they're in love and nothing has changed, their relationship is going strong until one day one of brodys ex girlfriends shows up to a provincial hockey tournament. anthony notices her there but doesn't say anything as he hopes she's just there for the support. during break anthony goes to see brody but is shocked to see brodys ex talking to him. anthony goes and stands next to brody putting his hand around brodys waist hoping that skank will get the hint. brody smiles and says hi to anthony and continues the casual conversation, its sounds like they're just catching up since it's been so long since they've seen eachother. anthony hides his jealousy and lets the two continue talking. anthony can't seem to ignore that she's blushing throughout the entire conversation even though she says she has a boyfriend now. it's time to go back on the ice so brody kisses anthony and leaves. later that night anthony tries to casually bring up that she saw her blushing. brody says he noticed it too but didn't bring anything up so he disnt male her uncomfortable. brody assures anthony that even if his ex girlfriend is swooning over him again anthony is the love of his life and would never leave him for an ex girlfriend. anthony feels as though a weight is lifted from his shoulders and they fall asleep in eachothers arms years pass and the two boys are now 27, brody is still a star hockey player and now plays for the NHL, anthony is pursuing his dream job and couldn't be happier. brody decides to take anthony on a romantic date to their favorite restaurant and to the beach afterwards. at the beach brody gets down on one knee and takes out the most gorgeous ring anthony has ever seen, anthony is already in tears when brody starts to speak "anthony, i have loved you since the ninth grade, sitting in class acting gay to be funny. i have never been happier in my life and i want to spend the rest of it with you. will you marry me?" anthony sobs and screams joyfully "yes I'll marry you brody !" brody stands up and places the ring on anthonys finger.
