Now I should tell you about the past before I get to the present. Tommy's mom actually met my mom when they were kids and they were friends ever since. Before the big accident, the first one. My dad and Tommy's dad became friends once they met and one day Tommy's dad didn't have a car cause his mom took it to work and his dad needed to get somewhere. My dad offered to take him since he had to take my sister to school anyways. This all happened when I was eleven by the way. On the way there he got into a car accident. No one survived. We got told he was under the influence of alcohol. After that my mom and Tommy's mom got in a big argument which weakened their friendship. After that my mom was so stressed that she got fired from her job. No one was able to pay the bills. So I stepped in. At first I would just do chores for the neighbors but I started to realize that wasn't enough. I got into the dark business. You know? Where you sell illegal drugs? Yeah I did that when I was 11 and did that till I was 13. Then my mom decided to get a job so I quit the dark business. Then came the big accident, number 2. My mom one day was super pissed. I don't remember why. She screamed at me, hit me. She took out some of her anger on me. You might be wondering, oh where did she take out the rest of her anger? Well she took it out on Tommy's mom. It was a LOT of anger. So long story short. She killed her. Tommy lived with us since she did that and the police reported her missing. Tommy knew what happened, I did too, but we didn't say anything. Not until I was 14. I was so fed up with everything that I went to the police and reported it. They told me I was lying. I had to cry and beg until they believed me and let me show them proof. Then she got arrested and I got the privilege to live alone after I told them my story.
Tommy didn't have the same fate. I don't know where he lives. He refuses to tell me. He started the parties after accident one and I found out after accident two. We are still in contact. We aren't family by blood but we treat each other like family. We only have each other now. Tommy still has his "friends" but we both know those aren't his friends.

8:00 am Sept. 26, Mon.
I flip the pancake. Set down the metal spatula on the marble counter. I put down the heat to low. I start to walk upstairs. I stop at certain door and open it. The spare room. A white door with a golden knob. I don't walk in.
"Tommy! Wake up!" I say, knowing that he won't get up anyways.
"Nooooo, one more hour..." Tommy says, with sleepiness in his voice.
"You have to get up," I say like a parent.
"Noooo, let me sleep," he says again.
"If you tell me the last time you ate. Maybe I will," I say, trying to come up with something that's fair.
"Like two days ago..." he says without thinking.
"Two days ago!?" I say, surprised.
"No no no, fuck! I meant two hours ago..." he says, with no honesty in his voice whatsoever.
"You've been asleep for 10 hours." Idiot.
"Shit, whatever I'm just going to sleep."
"Okay if you say so," I say with a grin on my face, knowing that's not the case.
I close the door of the room and go to my instrument room. I have like ten instruments but there was a certain one I was looking for. Which wasn't hard to find since it was a set of drums. I sit down on the stool behind it. I grab my drum sticks and start playing horribly and super loud. It hurts my ears but it's worth it. I don't stop until I hear Tommy's voice,
