Hunter x F!reader: babysitting king

Y/N’s POV:

Luz called me, frantically. Saying stuff like ‘Y/N! I need you to come over now’ or ‘I need you here quickly! It’s an emergency’. I thought something was wrong, so I quickly grabbed my satchel and ran over to the Owl House. I knocked on the door like a madwoman.

“Oh, hey Y/N!” Luz said, opening the door.

“What! Are you okay!” I yelled, looking around for anything that could be wrong.

“Ohhhhh! Yea I’m fine! I just needed you over here quickly.” Luz said with a smile. I started in disbelief.

“I ran into 12 people, kneed a kid in the chest, tripped MULTIPLE times, fell on my ass, and almost slipped OFF A CLIFF,” I said, trying to keep my cool. “I thought you were DYING.” I exclaimed. Luz stared.

“I didn’t mean to worry you..” She said sheepishly, very nervous. I didn’t speak. I instead glared at her.

“What could be SO important.” I sighed, finally calming down after my scare.

“Well.. Eda needs to run errands, so she will be out all day,” Luz started, I nodded. “And Amity and I are going on a date today!” I nodded again. “Anddddd..” She bent down to the side, picking something up.

“We need you to babysit King!” She said, holding up the tired demon. I paused.

“You could have just said that.” I yawned. Holding King in my arms, I pet his head. I heard someone behind me.

“Sorry! I didn’t mean to interrupt you guys.” I hear Amity say. I turned and she looked gorgeous! Luz blushed brightly and gave me a hug.

“Thank You so much for watching King! You’re the best!” Luz called to me, holding Amity’s hand and walking away. They both waved and I waved back. King wanted to get back to his sunbathing, so I set him down on the chest by the window when I walked in. I had some free time, until King was up and ready to cause chaos. I plopped down on the couch, with a sigh. I grabbed Eda’s crystal ball, and put on a random show.

*~About 30 minutes later~*
Letting out a yawn, I feel my scroll vibrate. I pick it up and look.

I laugh at his temper.

“WEH!” You hear the familiar voice of King coming from the kitchen. You hear the taps of his little feet walk into the living room.

“Have a nice nap?” I ask, sitting up.

“Y/N!” He said excitedly. He ran up to me with small pants and wagged his tail.

“You hungry, little man?” I stretch, hearing a satisfying pop in my back. He nodded his head. I smiled and walked into the kitchen. I searched through Eda’s cabinets and fridge. I found something that I could make for me, Hunter and King!

“Hey, want some scrambled Griffin Eggs?” I asked, holding the large egg up. He happily nodded and I prepared the oven. I put a pan on the stove and got a wooden spoon. There was a knock at the door, knowing it was Hunter, I told King to go open the door for him.

“Weh! What’s the password!” King yelled at him.

“Out of my way, rat” I hear Hunter say, moving past King.

“That’s not the password!” King stomped his foot. I laughed quietly. Feeling Hunter wrap his arm around me and rest his chin on my shoulder. I turned slightly and kissed his forehead.

“Whatcha making, darling?” I hear him ask. I hum.

“Uhh? You want me to guess?” He says, leaning up a bit. I smiled, trying to keep my composure.

“If you want the answer, You have to tell me the password.” I said, not looking at him. He stared with an angry face. King busted out laughing, pointing at hunter. He let out a long sigh of defeat.

“I don’t know the password..” I grimaced. I hummed and went back to cooking.

“Are you not gonna talk to me until I answer?” He said, slightly in disbelief. I hummed and slightly nodded to a, still laughing, King.  He realized I was making him play with King. An annoyed groan left his throat as he walked over to King.

“Hey, I’ll play your little game, if you give me the password.” Sighed out, poking King in his side.

“Weh! Fine! Come with me!” King runs into the living room. Hunter, dragging his feet, followed behind the small Demon. I laughed at his complaining in the other room. I peek in for a second to see Hunter being forced to hold some of King's stuffed animals. He also had a weird looking glass object balanced on his head, which he seemed to be more forced on than King’s speech.

I finished making the food, seasoned it, and put it on plates with forks. When I walked into the living room Hunter was trying his hardest to keep the many things balanced on his body. He looked at me desperately. I smiled, and set his food down next to him and gave King his food. I sat down on the couch and stared at King torturing my poor boyfriend. I smiled and called King over.

“Hey.. don’t you think Hunter deserves to know the password now?” I whispered quietly so only King could hear.

“Weh!” He yelled in my ear which made me glare at him, he looked at me with big apologetic eyes. I leaned down again and nodded towards Hunter, who stared curiously. King ran up to Hunter, paused, than ran back to me.

“What’s the password again?” King whispered in my ear. I smiled.

“Belos stinks” I whisper to him back. He runs up to Hunter and whispers it to him.

“BELOS STINKS. That’s the password! Please.. Get this stuff off me!” Hunter yelled. I smiled and stood up, taking the more valuable and fragile stuff off, Hunter could just throw the other stuff off. He sighed, taking his food and sitting in my spot, throwing his legs onto the couch. I glared at him before sitting in his lap, eating.

“Can you please talk to me now..?” Hunter asked, innocently. I smiled and kissed his lips, which he leaned into.

“I suppose you deserve it..” I say contently. He wrapped his arms around me. I ask King to play my show again and then put my side for him to sit with us. He snuggles in and Hunter sets out plates to the side once we are done.

*~ some time later ~*

Luz yawned as her and Amity walked into the house, Eda following close behind. Eda turned the light on and all 3 of them paused at the adorable sight of you, Hunter, and King snuggling together.
