Roman sighed deeply, he sat at his desk, head in his hands. The clock chimed 2 o'clock in the morning, he should be asleep. But he can't sleep, not with his mind racing like it is. His parents are pressuring him to get married, seeing as he's next in line for the crown. He doesn't want to get married, he's just 19, he doesn't want to settle down, and frankly he doesn't have a lover or interest in anyone.

Well, doesn't have an interest he's met yet, person. He saw a young man in the garden tonight. It was around midnight when he was out on the balcony. He knew the man shouldn't have been out there, no one other then the royals and the servants are allowed in the garden. But Roman couldn't bring himself to tell the boy to leave. The boy looked so peaceful, then the boy noticed him and Roman played it off pretty well. He watched as the boy left the garden. The boy caught Roman staring once he was out of the garden. And those eyes.

Those eyes were the softest blue. The way the moonlight caught them and they shone. Those eyes haunt Roman's mind. They're keeping him awake. He needs to see them again, he needs to look into those eyes.

Roman stood from his seat and walked over to his bed. He settled himself down into the sheets and tried to relax and calm his rushing mind. Eventually, he fell asleep. Wasn't a deep sleep, it was light and uneasy. But he was asleep.

Then three knocks rang out. Roman groaned as the door swung open and in step his chippy servant, Patton meadows. Patton settled himself on the edge of the bed before shaking Roman's shoulder.

"Hey kiddo, wake up, it's 7 o'clock." Roman groaned again at the words. He rolled over and peeked up at Patton. "Morning kiddo!" Patton smiled brightly at Roman, jumping off the bed and helping Roman sit up.

"Yes, morning Patton, I'll be out soon, thank you." Roman spoke, his voice was as tired as he looked. Patton nodded and skipped out the door, closing it behind him.

Roman got out of bed and walked over to his wardrobe. He pulled out his suit and changed lazily. He sighed as he straighten his sash. Roman combed out his hair and slipped on his boots. He made his way to the door, taking a deep breathe to prepare for the day.

Roman threw on a smile and waved at a servant as she past. Roman made his was downstairs to where his father was. Roman took his seat in the throne beside his dad and leaned onto his hand. His brother, Remus, dropped down into the seat beside Roman with his signature sly grin.

"What's a matter Ro-Bro?" Remus asked after studying his brother. Roman sighed and looked over at Remus. "You like death rolled over"

Roman rolled his eyes, "thanks, but no I didn't sleep much last night." Remus' smiled dropped and he patted Roman's shoulder.

"Stress again?" Roman nodded and ran his hands over his face. Remus sighed, knowing this was a sign of Roman being very stressed.  "I told dad to stop pressuring you so damn much." Remus rolled his eyes.

The king and the queen walked into the room, the twins' mother smiled and wrapped them each in a hug. She held Roman by the shoulders, "are you alright, sweetie?"

Before Roman could answer, Remus butted in, "no mom, he hasn't slept in forever! Dads putting too much stress on him to find a wife!" Roman shot Remus a glare. The queen looked over at her husband.

"Jonathan, I told do not pressure him. He has a full year to find the right person." She turned her attention to Roman, "Baby, don't stress anymore alright? The right person will come to you eventually."

"Evelyn, darling, we both know he needs to find a wife and soon." The queen went to interrupt and object to the king, but Roman jumped in before she could.

"What if I don't want a girl, father?" He whispered, only Remus knew of him being gay. The king stared at Roman, both royal parents heard him even though he whispered.

"I beg your pardon? Roman you are not gay, no. You need to continue on the family name and bloodline. You can't do that with some man!" The king scolded. Roman looked down at the floor. "I will make Remus king instead, at least he has some sense to marry a woman!"

"Uh no- I'm gay as hell big papa. You got two gays sons. Two sons, both are gay, congratulations. It's a beautiful thing!" The queen smiled at her son's words.

"I agree, Jon, Roman, baby, if you're gay wonderful. Do you have interest in any man here? Or maybe we can have men from other kingdoms come." Roman smiled and hugged his mother tightly. The queen returned the hug. "You know I'll always love you, sweetheart. No matter what."

The king sighed and walked away from his family, grumbling to himself. "Don't worry about him boys, I'll talk some sense into him. But in the mean time, go out, scout out some cute boys." The queen winked before rushing off after her husband.
