The Contract

chapter 31 - babies

Montana's POV

I'm at the penthouse when I get off of work. Finding the abandoned closet full of my clothes I slip out of my work clothing and put on the designer lounge set that Zeus bought. I contemplate cooking dinner but the decision is made for me when I look in the kitchen and Stella is there making a full meal.

I simply wave as she nods and I make my way back upstairs to the room that was mine. I slip into the bed and cut the television on to a reality show as I chill. Work wasn't bad at all, but I can't lie and say I don't miss being at this penthouse with Zeus.

But I'm not caving. I'm not moving in until we decide we're going to be together forever or have that conversation. I'm almost asleep when the door opens and my Zeus walks in wearing his designer white dress shirt and navy pants.

"Hi baby," he tells me walking in and crawling above me on the bed. He leans down and kisses me over the comforter as I grip his shoulders and kiss him back.

"Hi Zeusy," I smile making him laugh back as he kisses my cheek once more and flips over to lay next to me and cuddle my body softly.

"What are you watching?" He asks rubbing my back in his hand as I hold his chest. "I have no idea but it sucks." I laugh as he nods.

"Figured. Want to go eat dinner? Stella left," he tells me as I nod and get out of the bed with him. We walk downstairs together and I smile as wide as I can when I see Athena standing there with Louis.

"Hi! What are you doing here?" I ask her as she opens her arms to hug me and I kiss Louis on the cheek softly. "I brought Louis to see you both." She smiles as Zeus wiggles Louis's little toes and makes him giggle.

He's smiling in Athena's arms when she hands him to me and takes a seat at the barstools in the kitchen following Zeus. I follow behind her with Louis and sit as well. Zeus takes out plates and makes Athena one before sitting it in front her and shocking her as I wink behind Zeus's back and she stares shocked.

"What did you do with Zeus?" She whispers as I smile rubbing Louis on the back. "I laid him," I tell her to make her blush as she smiles.

"I actually have an alternative reason for being here," she tells us as she takes a bite of the food and then sets her fork down.

"What's that?" He asks her as he gives me a plate of food and takes Louis so I can eat and gives him a baby bottle of apple juice. This is why I want kids with him, right there. He's so good with Louis and he makes him giggle while rocking him and they're both smiling. That makes my ovaries melt for the man I love.

"I'm having a surprise party for Barry and I want you both to come. It's his thirtieth birthday and you have to come." She tells us as I nod. Barry's her husband and he's amazing.

"Of course we'll be there." I smile as she smiles back. "He loves boats and all but we can't afford to rent one out for the night only so I'm thinking of having it on the dock at one of the restaurants in the city." She tells me as I immediately stare over at Zeus playing with Louis and tell him with my eyes to offer his new purchase.

"Zeus do you-?" I ask him as he shakes his head no. "Why?" I ask as he shakes his head no again.

"What's wrong?" Athena asks as I stare at him and he stares back telling me no. "I was just thinking we could help rent one out or something." I tell her as she shakes her head no.

"We don't share money like that." She tells me as I sigh. "Okay," I whisper as she looks over at Louis and Zeus gives him back.

"Montana where did you put the thing you got for him?" Zeus asks me as I stare at him blanking and he motions to the primary bedroom, his room. I stand up following him as he quickly shuts the door behind me and goes to his closet and grabs a bag.
