Sergio wandered near the shops, he didn't really have anything to do, so he was just roaming around as he looked for something he could buy for a certain someone.

He eventually finds himself in a jewelry shop. There were so many beautiful pieces of jewelry, but a specific one caught his eye.

A gorgeous thin chained necklace, with a silver outline charm of a butterfly.

"I'm pretty sure she likes butterflies. I'd be surprised if she didn't" he mumbles to himself, picking up the necklace and going to the register.

He sets the necklace down before the cashier makes conversation. "Is this one for you?" Sergio lifts his view from the chain to the cashier. "Oh no, it's a gift."

"Ah alright. Would you like a box?" Sergio nods. "Si por favor."

After taking the boxed necklace and paying, he walks out the door. He was planning on hanging out with the person he got the necklace for, to give it to her. But before he could start walking over, a curly-haired boy calls out his name.

"Sergio!" Camilo exclaimed as he saw Sergio walk out the shop. He had asked Dolores to help find where he was at. As far as she was concerned, he just wanted to hang out with a friend.

"Hey Camilo," Sergio replied in confusion. He thought Camilo didn't like him. Why would he be coming up to him if you weren't there too?

Camilo walks up to him with a smile plastered on his face. He quickly noticed the small bag Sergio had in his hand, and wasted no time asking about it. "Ques es eso?"

Sergio looks at the bag, taking out the box. "I got a necklace for someone. It's a little butterfly." Camilo nods, looking at the now opened box to showcase the chain.

It's for someone?

"Who's it for? I'm pretty sure they'll love it!" Camilo questions, extremely curious as to who he might say. He already had his suspicions.

Sergio shakes his head, closing the box and putting it back in the bag. "I think I'll keep that a secret. Besides you know her pretty well so I don't want to take any chances."

That confirmed Camilo's skepticism. Who he knows "pretty well" is you.

Sergio was already getting you gifts. You know what? The two of you are probably already dating and didn't tell him.

This sent Camilo over the edge.

He forced a believable smile. "Don't worry about it I get it. I better get going though, you know, chores" he chuckles with a shrug before turning around and waving goodbye. Sergio waves back, not even questioning anything anymore.

Camilo walked away, completely out of sight. Sergio shrugged it off, barely beginning to walk in the direction of the one he bought a necklace for, before hearing his name being called out once again,

This time, it was his mama. "Mijo, I need you to go down to the river and wash the clothes. By hand." Sergio mentally groaned. This was the most his mama has made him do since they moved to the Encanto. Usually his mama washed the clothes while he was left with folding them, she never asked him to wash them.

He was aware that washing all the clothes by hand was going to take a very long time. "Alright mama, but can I first go give this to-"

"No Sergio, do it after. Now go." Sergio stayed quiet, he expected his mama to at least spare him a few minutes.

He nodded, heading to his house to take the clothes to the river.

"Yeah of course! Bye girls!" you exclaim with a laugh as you walk down casita's stairs. You hung out with the Madrigal granddaughters during the morning, since you had nothing to do and it has been a while since the five of you spent time together.

"Adios casita!" you say goodbye at the waving front door, fixing the flower crown Isabela had made for you.

You strolled along the path towards the town, planning on going home and doodling on your sketchbook. You got to the center of town, growing nearer to your home. You heard your name being called, turning around to see Sergio.

He waved at you with a smile while he walked over to you. You grin, wrapping him in your arms. You hadn't seen him in a few days. He has been off doing his own thing and you've been nothing but supportive. He's become one of your closest friends, especially since a certain someone liked to act as if you didn't exist.

He returned the hug, digging his face in the crook of your neck. You couldn't help but notice it was the same way Camilo would hug you before you met Sergio. He held you for a little longer than usual.

Maybe he just missed you a lot.

Sergio finally lets go, "What are you doing today?"

"Probably just gonna draw or watch a movie." His face lights up as he hears that last part, "Why don't we watch a movie together?" It wasn't a bad idea.

You nod in agreement, grabbing his arm and pulling him towards your home.

The both of you run upstairs once you make it past the front door, throwing yourselves on top of the bed.

You throw the control to Sergio as you get up from the bed. "You choose the movie, I'll go make the popcorn." You tell him, beginning to walk out the door.

"As long as you don't burn it" he chuckles, earning a playful eye roll from you as you walk out of the room.

You walk down the steps and into the kitchen.

There was something unusual about this, but you couldn't figure out what it was. There was also a sense of deja vu.

You take the popcorn from the cupboard and remove the plastic around it.

"As long as you don't burn it"

You close the microwave door and start the time after placing it inside.

You could have sworn someone else said the exact same thing during a movie night.

The popcorn begins to pop.

Whatever. You're probably thinking about it too much.

The sound of the microwave going off distracts you from your thoughts. You take the popcorn out of the microwave, shaking the bag while walking back up the stairs.

Placing your hand on the doorknob, you walk in. Sergio was playing with his hair, causing you to softly giggle. He stopped once he saw you though, eyes sparkling when he saw the popcorn in the palm of your hand.

He scooted over to give you room on your bed, a space which you gladly took. "So what movie did you pick?"

It's giving very much Olivia Rodrigo.

Fun Fact: I actually burnt my popcorn and almost broke the microwave a few hours ago
