Jillyann's POV

I woke up the next morning in an unfamiliar room. I shot up a realized I was in Kian's room. I relaxed and laid back down. I heard Kian whisper "why'd you do it?"
"What?"
"Why did you hurt yourself?"
"H-How do you know that I did?"
"I saw the scars."
I didn't respond
"Was it me? because I left?" He said, his voice was shaky like he'd been crying
"No. It was not you. It was dad. And losing mom."
"Thank god it wasn't my fault."
"I miss her."
"Who?"
"Mom."
"Oh. Me too."
"I hate cancer."
"Me too."
"What was she like Kian?"
"Who mom?"
"Yeah. I don't really remember much because she died when I was little."
"You remind me of her so much." He coked out "smart, funny, beautiful, kind hearted. Just like her."
"Thank you Kian."
"I'm sorry I haven't been there for you."
"Why did you leave?"
"I had no choice. He said he'd- he said he'd kill you...if I didn't leave."
I gasped, sucking in air. "I didn't leave because I don't love you. I do you're my baby sister. I love you baby sis."
"I love you too big brother." I said looking up at him. He pulled me into a hug and kisses the top of my head. I slowly drifted off to sleep again.

Kian's POV

I was up on the phone for a few hours in my room when someone knocked on my door. I got up and walked over to open it.
"Hey JC," I said
"Hey Kian, where is she?"
"Sleeping still." I gestured to her. We both turned to her. She was sprawled out across the bed with one leg covered the other not. Her arms under her pillow and she was breathing heavily.
"She's adorable." JC smiled.
"Sure is."
"So um when she wakes up let me know?"
"I'm actually gonna let her sleep and come downstairs." We walked downstairs and sat on the couch with Trevor and Sam and Ricky.
"Where were you last night Ricky?"
"I was with my mom."
"Oh. "
"So Kian. Is that true about your mom?" Sam asked
"Yeah."
"How's Jillyann taking it?"
"How am I taking what?"
Shit. She heard that last part.
"Uh come here." I said, she sat next to me and asked me what was going on "mom didn't die of cancer."
"What? Yes she did."
"No. Dad killed her. He pushed her down the stairs when you were 9." As I said it, her hands flew to her face and she started crying
"So for all of these years... I've been living with a murderer?"
"Yeah..."
She started to cry harder and JC pulled her onto his lap and she cried into his chest, he rubbed her back and whispered into her ear. She got up and walked up the stairs. I heard the bathroom door click shut.

After a while I didn't hear the door open, so I went up to check on her. I knocked on the door, but she didn't answer. I heard her sobbing.
"Jillyann? Are you okay? Open the door." she didn't answer. So I kicked the door down and she was laying on the floor with blood pooling around her wrists. "JC! GET UP HERE! TREVOR! SAM! RICKY! SOMEONE CALL AN ABUNDANCE!" I screamed, JC came running up to the bathroom and screamed when he saw her on the floor.
The ambulance drove off with Jillyann and we all followed in our cars. JC was the first one there and was arguing with a nurse to let him in.
"Sir please calm down. She has to be checked before any of you can see her. I have to call her father."
"No! She's 18 and she lives with me. You can't call our dad. He's elderly and sick in his retirement home." I said
"Okay well please wait out her all..." she stopped to count us "5 of you." Then she walked away. We all sat in the waiting chairs and JC stayed quiet the entire time. This was the first time in a long time that we have sent him cry like this. He never cries and this must have taken a real tole on him. We were all crying but he was bawling his eyes out and pacing everywhere.
"This is all my fault." I said
"No it's not." Ricky said
"If I hadn't told her about mom."
"Do not blame yourself." Trevor said.
'But it's all my fault.' I thought
