Close to half an hour later, Kirishima had gotten up to go to the restroom and get ready, whereas Midoriya and Bakugo stayed in bed, trying to get a bit more rest.

“Deku,” Bakugo whispered. He snaked his hand down under the sheets, firmly placing it over Midoriya’s thigh. With how close they were, he could practically feel Midoriya’s heart rate increase with anxiety. “It was you, wasn’t it?” Was all he said.

“Don’t tell Eijiro, please. He doesn’t know I’ve ever done it,” Midoriya said, his voice coming out in a desperate practically whined whisper.

“It’s been less than a week, and from the flowers, I doubt they’re healed yet. Let me bandage you up if you haven’t, and I won’t tell him about this time.”

“This time?”

“If you do it again, I’m telling him. Immediately.”

“Thank you…”

When Kirishima returned to the room, Midoriya said he should go ahead and get some food and that he and Bakugo would be down in a minute, to which Kirishima complied. In the bathroom, Midoriya sat on the closed toilet lid, and Bakugo knelt on the floor in front of him, a reverse of the previous night. Once Bakugo’s hands had been cleaned, he pressed two fingers to the skin directly next to Midoriya’s cuts.

“What are you doing?” Midoriya asked, slightly flinching away from Bakugo’s fingers.

“Making sure you don’t have an infection, dumbass.” Bakugo placed his fingers on the opposite thigh, just to make sure for reference that the injuries were not abnormally warm or anything of the sort, which they weren’t. Bakugo quickly sprayed the leg with disinfectant, spread neosporin over Midoriya’s leg, and placed a large bandaid over the injuries. “Was it… Because of me?” Bakugo hesitantly asked as the two boys got dressed.

“Being fully honest, no, not for the most part. I’d thought about it, before you started. And if you hadn’t, I think I would’ve done it myself instead, a long time ago. Just over the past few weeks, those thoughts have been coming back, and… they did get worse when you were doing it. I just… took advantage of Eijiro not being able to find out if I did it right then…”

“I’m sorry if I’ve been making that worse.”

“It’s not your fault,” Midoriya responded, grabbing Bakugo’s hand and squeezing as he guided him out of the bedroom and towards the kitchen.

“Kacchan, do you think we could talk to Mr. Aizawa about your…Issue?” Midoriya asked as they walked to school together.

“No.” Bakugo’s response was short and curt, trying to leave no room for debate.

“I think he’ll be able to help you - and help us help you. Please.”

Bakugo zoned out, fully ignoring the question, whether that was purposeful or not. It wasn’t like he was going to inconvenience Inko by asking if she could drive them (even though he knew she would agree in a heartbeat). Despite that, he knew it hadn’t been a good idea for them to walk as his legs already felt like they were on fire when they were still only half-way to school.

“Kats? Earth to Kats? Katsuki?” Kirishima said, waving a hand in front of Bakugo’s face until he noticed he was being spoken to. “What’s up? You just stopped walking.”

“ ‘s nothing,” Bakugo said, taking another step forward, unable to hide his wince this time.

“Kat, you should’ve told us if it hurts that bad,” Kirishima said. “We could’ve driven.’
