When they get home from their walk they part ways but plan to meet up for dinner, with Yunho and Mingi. They all need to de-stress from the past day but Yeosang and Jongho had homework. San decides to call his dad since they hadn't talked in a few days.
"Dad?" San asks when he picks up the phone.
"One... one second honey my son is calling. Oh shoot I already answ- hi Sannie!" He says once he notices the call.
"Hey dad... who were you calling honey??" San questions, not knowing of any lovers his dad had.
"Oh no one, don't worry about it." He emphasizes on the "no," trying to avoid the question.
"Nonono, I can't believe you got a partner before me!" San laughs. "Tell me about them!"
"Well...he's really nice, we went to law school together but because me and your mom were together at the time we didn't do anything then we saw each other a month ago at the grocery store and hit it off."
"That sounds great dad! Well I've been having a good time up here too. Me, Yunho and Mingi's friend group grew AND they finally started dating!" San smiles, glad he's catching up with his dad.
"FINALLY! We've been watching them flirt back and forth for way too long and I'm so glad you're having a good time sweetie, when are you coming to visit?" He questions.
"Maybe next, next weekend? I have plans this coming weekend." San offers.
"Sounds great! All right I have to go but we'll talk soon ok?" San says goodbye and ends the call.

The week passes along smoothly, no one runs into Byungchan and his teacher's hadn't seen him at all. It was now Friday afternoon and San and Wooyoung were getting ready to go visit Wooyoung's home town, just a few hours outside of the university district.
"Is there anything I should bring her? Like flowers, or chocolate or-" San starts frantically thinking of gifts he could bring.
"Slow down, you don't need to bring her anything I promise. She hates a suck-up." Wooyoung laughs. They had agreed to go down and see Wooyoung's mom for a day and then come back up tomorrow because Mingi thinks that Byungchan will return soon.
"Are you sure? I don't want her to hate your... friend." San says cautiously.
"Yeah I'm sure. Are you sure you're fine with meeting her already? I kinda rushed you into the decision and I know you might need more time." Wooyoung questions.
"No, I really want to meet her. She seems cool, I promise you didn't rush me into anything. I'm excited to see your childhood home!" San smiles. Wooyoung nods as they exit the dorm.
"Yunho, we're leaving!"
"Alright see you tomorrow!" Yunho says waving.
San and Wooyoung make their way downstairs and to the car, excited for their little road trip. Once they get in the car Wooyoung checks inside the armrest to make sure he has enough snacks to last them the full car ride. As they drive out of town they leave their worries behind them. Their worries about them, about Mingi and Byungchan, all of it. All the two boys wanted from this trip is some time alone and a chance to get closer. The drive is pretty quiet, other than mindless chatter and friendly bickering about stupid topics, they both just enjoy the beautiful scenery on the roadside.
"So when we get there, my mom might be a little bit overwhelming, but if you want I can tell her about your disorder and she'll be extremely respectful, it's her job. " Wooyoung sighs at the thought of his mom jumping all over San and pestering him.
"Oh, um y-yeah maybe do that? I don't want to be a bother but I might offend her if I shut down while she's talking to me." San stutters.
"Sannie, you're not a bother, don't even think about that." Wooyoung says sweetly. At the closest gas station he pulls over and texts his mom while San goes to the bathroom.

"Yep, let's go!"
