THE DAY HAD FINALLY COME. It was the day everyone in the Valley had been waiting for. The All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament. Karate dojo's from across the Valley faced off to win the title, while Cobra Kai, Eagle Fang, and Miyagi-Do faced off to keep their dojo open. It all came down to one fight, and the will to win.
"This next dojo took last year's title." The announcer told the crowd, starting to introduce Cobra Kai. "But, they're under new management. Can they reign supreme once more? And last year's runner-up, he may be wearing a new gi, but one things for sure, Robby Keene and his team are ready to strike! Hailing from Reseda, defending champions, and still the most badass name for a dojo, here comes Cobra Kai!"
The4 crowd cheered as Cobra Kai made their way along the mats, lining up in front of the crowd. Megan had been right in front, in-between her sister and boyfriend as she tried not to gaze over at Miyagi-Do.
Once all the dojos were finally announced, the students and competitors were let to warm up with their team, at least until the Sensei's called them in. "Alright, fall in." Sensei Kreese announced, "All your training has brought you to this moment. Remember, if you win, you don't just get a trophy, you get the glory—and you get to know forever that you are a champion. I have had students with all the talent in the world squander their moment. Do not let history repeat itself. Do not let you emotions cloud your judgment. And above all, do not let anything stand in the way of your victory."
"Just to be clear." Sensei Silver told his students, stepping forward. "That's not a pep talk. That's an order." Megan winced slightly. Sensei Kreese and Sensei Silver had very different teaching styles. Originally, Megan thought Kreese was the villain behind Cobra Kai, but in the end he cared for his students. Sensei Silver just wanted the trophy and title.
"And we're all going to follow Sensei Kreese's orders today, aren't we?" Megan agreed with her sensei even thought she hated it. He was talking to them as if they were third graders, and they definitely were not third graders. "Aren't we?"
"Yes, Sensei!"
"Let's go win this!" Sensei Silver cheered, "Come on."
The students of Cobra Kai cheered and screamed as they turned to each other, cheering each other on. The only not cheering was Megan.
"You alright?" Robby asked her.
Megan nodded, solumnely. "Yeah. Just nervous."
"Don't be." Robby told her, "You have worked your ass off for this. You're our secret weapon."
"Oh, how sweet." Megan told him. Robby simply rolled his eyes. "But thank you."
