The Teiko Middle School Basketball Team had just finished a practice match with a middle school that was well known for their amazing team. Teiko had just mopped the floor with them, absolutely annihilating them with Yamiku on the bench for the majority of the game. Although she was on the team, she couldn't play on the court for the full 40 minutes of the game because people are still against her being on the team. Despite this, Yamiku didn't mind not being able to play as a starter. She was still a valued member of the team and she knew it. "Yo, Yami! Let's do a one-on-one. Whoever wins has to pay for dinner at Maji's Burgers next time we go!" Aomine called out, tossing the basketball to the girl.
Yami grinned, ready to accept the challenge until Akashi stepped forward, joining the conversation. Midorima was trailing behind him. "How about a two-on-two?" Akashi suggested with a polite tone. Yamiku grinned in excitement. She hadn't played them in a while since she's been hanging out with Kuroko more often than not.
"That would be great Sei-Chan! But what about Murisakibara?" Yamiku asked, looking around for the tall purplenette who was nowhere to be found.
"Murisakibara is busy at the moment, no doubt snacking somewhere., Seijuro answered with a polite tone. Yamiku giggled at the thought of it.
'I have to ask him what snacks he eats! I want to be as tall as him one day.'
time skip.
Yamiku grinned, it was her and Seijuro versus Daiki and Shintaro. It would be a hard game, though she was confident that together Yamiku and Seijuro were undefeatable. They would be playing full-court like there were 5 players on the court, but it would just be the four of them. They got Momoi to help them with the tip-off. Seijuro and Midorima were facing each other off. Momoi threw the ball up, and the game started. Shintaro snatched the ball and was now passing to Daiki. He ran towards the basket, but Seijuro was there to block him. Almost immediately, Yamiku came up behind him and tapped the ball, passing it over to Seijuro. The two of them began running towards the other team's basket and Seijuro passed the ball to Yamiku. They scored a 3-pointer.
The games went on like this for a while, sometimes Aomine would steal the ball and go for a dunk, but in the end, nothing was more powerful than the Akashi twins.
Seijuro was in the student council room trying to finish up some paperwork and Shintaro was in there helping him out. Being the student council president does sound quite hard. Aomine and Yamiku were on their way to the other gym, where Kuroko was waiting for them. "Hah! Wait until I tell Kuroko about this!" Yamiku triumphantly laughed. Aomine grumbled something under his breath that Yamiku couldn't catch.
"Yeah yeah, whatever Yami... You only won because you had Akashi on your team." He said, still sounding a little angry.
They had finally reached the other gym, but the blunette they were looking forward to seeing was nowhere to be found.
"Hey, Daiki, do you see Tetsu anywhere?" Yamiku asked, looking around the gym, yet Kuroko was still missing. This was quite odd. He was normally always the first one at the gym."No, I don't. Do you think...?" Daiki's voice trailed off. Yamiku shook her head in response. She was wondering if something happened, did he get injured or something?
Just then, the door opened, and a white shoe stepped through the doorway. Kuroko's lean figure stepped out from the doorframe and quickly closed the door. Yamiku smiled, and Aomine just waved."Hey, Tetsu! Did something happen-" Yamiku paused mid-sentence because she noticed that the poor guy was doing his best not to cry. She shut herself up, giving herself a mental note to read the room sometimes.
"Guys, I'm quitting the team." Kuroko suddenly announced. Yamiku let out a gasp. 'How could he quit? After all the effort he put in?' she thought.
