It felt like a century until we found a ladder leading up into some dim light. The wind was howling in the night sky and shadows danced on the walls. Our pursuers were no longer on our trail. The ladder opened up into a vast room with chairs and tubes of chemical liquid. Lying on the chairs were, Minh, Miah, and Brooke. Without a moment of thought I rushed over to them taking off the tubes stuck to their heads. But the moment I did that they started attacking me, chocking me, and trying to kill me.
"Guys it's us, your best friends!" But I hardly even could hear my own voice as I already knew my friends weren't themselves, that they were brainwashed.
